Suicide is the coward's way out.

I have that same model of imac sitting on the floor of my room, haven't used it in about a year and I don't even remember what I used it for. It's even the same color.

Yesterday I said I wanted a good dinner and I just cooked myself two delicious pieces of Charolais meat.
Delicious.

My dad had this exact imac, down to the "drive" instead of the slot for CDs.

What's sad is I bought it one week before the improved one came out with the DVD slot thingy instead of the cd drive. Should have waited a week. How old is this thing anyway? I think I remember having it 11 years ago but I'm not too sure.

I'm watching anime, reading VNs, and playing video games so yes. I do that everyday, but for some reason I enjoy it more on holidays. While everyone else is out busy with other people I can relax and enjoy my solitude. I usually buy myself a piece of cheesecake or something and live in my own little world away from all the busyness. It's a great feeling.

I'm re-downloading and reinstalling tremendous amounts of shit, as I finally got a new computer but unfortunately cannot pass over my slave drive (weird ribbons) to it and as such lost all my data.

>> No.3968480

60 years is a really extreme estimate for serious life extension. A good 20 years of research will be enough to allow those wealthy enough to live well into a hundred years of age.

The way things are going, personality transfer might come sooner.

I don't get why people say suicide is cowardly.

No coward would have the courage to actually kill themselves. If anything, not killing yourself when it's in your best interest is cowardly.

True men take whatever life throws at them with their chest thrown out in front.

Then when they get old, they go insane from the decades worth of mental anguish and eventually are diagnosed with dementia and locked away until they rot to death.

It's braver to face whatever is in front of you than to kill yourself. Killing yourself is a permanent solution to an often temporary problem.

We all instinctively desire to live, even if it's hopeless, even if we'll die trying to escape. The only situations that invokes suicide as a response are lack of stimulus for extended periods, degradation of bodily health (disease), serious chemical imbalances, or unbroken periods of extreme depression (often related to the aforementioned). These are all nominally treatable in the long term, making the short term response cowardly, when you could be fixing the problem.

Arguably the only situation where you would contemplate killing yourself is an untenable predicament in which the death that you would face is far more painful and drawn out than the one that you could give yourself before having to meet the worse one.

Say, you're about to run out of air, in space, without any hope of rescue, and you can blow your brains out or die of either carbon monoxide (which isn't that bad once you black out) or lack of breathable air (which is just dry suffocation, something that is really painful).
