You know those percentages are just a farce to keep us interested and waiting. They just bump it up 5% every so often.

If it's finished early, they'll update it to represent the last chunk in like a week. If they're behind, it'll hang at 90%/95% forever.

>> No.3960862

Witch Hunt never update.
That said, we'll have interesting story and theories discussions like we had after Ep 4 translation, right, /jp/? Right? Without animefags, without RP, right, right?

Whatever, the stakes' song is out and it's so good.

Fuck yeah.

Maybe I joined in too late in the game (shortly after Ep. 3 translation) but by then Umineko threads were already shit. That was well before summer.

I was following since EP1 so I know things haven't always been as terrible.

My personal favourite period was when the EP2 translation came out. Everyone was excited about Beato's personality, and excited about what will EP3 will be, because everyone who could read it were telling us that it is fucking awesome

And it really was!

100% translation confirmed on animesuki

now if they could just edit the shit faster

The problem has never been Umineko, the people discussing it or the time of year. Like most things, the problem lies with our proximity to /b/.

>> No.3960956

>>3960914

Wow, this is awful.
I didn't think it was possible for a song to be worse than Jessica's.

>> No.3960960

>>3960930
I joined in around that time as well and I remember quite a number of good threads here. Or maybe they just seem good by comparison with what's going on with Umineko in /a/.

>> No.3960964

>>3960945
I joined after ep1 was translated and read 2 with the scripts (memories from the times in baka-tsuki), the discuccions were interesting, then fags started stupid threads and so on, but in animesuki they were a bit better

Best be joking nigger, with like three of the five K-ON VAs as stakes, how could it not be moe moe kyun shit.

Funny how the discussions on /jp/ AND AnimeSuki were somewhat more interesting. It felt like some no-name project and for some time I thought that no-name group dropped the translations. But there were a group before them who dropped Umi-nya, remember? I did read EP1 from Baka-Tsuki while I had the original game open, I wanted to see the sprites and sounds along with the text. It was really tiring and annoying to save, but it has worth it

I was among the first ones who've completed Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Legend of the Golden Witch in English language! Congratulations... me!

Happiness of Marionette in my head, right now

This, basically. I don't like it.

>> No.3961049

>>3961005
I don't mind moe but the song is just bland, like most character songs.

>> No.3961063

It was inevitable that the level of the discussions went down... Umineko became popular, and popular series attract all kind of people.

If you stop to read some of the animesuki threads you will know what i mean...

Well, at least the popularity of the series make the good people of with hunt keep on with the translation, so i guess that's fine.

>> No.3961077

>>3961003
Congratulations.
Nobody gives a shit.

>> No.3961089

Maybe the quality of discussion also has to do with the general shift in tone as the series progresses. Compare EP1 to EP4 to see what I mean.

Maybe you guys would prefer this for the stakes? It's good too.

now i remember why I LOVE Shikata Akiko, though therer's no singer in umienko that does badly, also Niira's Etsuko songs for the UMGs are prettty good

>> No.3961198

>>3960914

Actually not too bad but I expected their song to be a little darker, not pure moe.

>>3961089

That works. Akiko Shikata's style of music really fits with the whole theme of the series.
