That is true, png is lossless while jpeg is lossy and suffers from generational loss, but if the original image is already shared with you as jpeg, re-saving it as png won't do any good, it will not magically make the image higher quality than it already is, it will just use more disk space to store the exactly identical data. It's like getting an mp3 of a song and re-encoding it to a flac - it won't improve anything, and technically won't hurt anything either, but it's just silly to do.
So if you get it as jpeg, just keep it as jpeg (don't re-save/re-encode it as jpeg though, as that would lower quality).
Now, if your images are originally png, then it's fine to keep them as png, as saving as jpeg would lower the quality.

Speaking of image formats and quality, it might be worth mentioning that Twitter likes to convert everything to jpeg with quality set to 85%, so even if an artist uploads a very high quality png, Twitter might compress it and sprinkle some image artifacts on it, so don't think you are getting the original/best quality from Twitter.

This made me remember back to when the scandal happened. I had a good opinion of Rushia by then but i didn't really watched her streams.
The came all the flurry of opinions and shitposting, the dramafags leeching out of it, all the people throwing her under the bus...and i started getting a very bad, manipulative impression of her while being relatively sympathetic to her biggest fans.
But i still waited for her to actually give her own version of the situation, to have a chance to defend herself. While i thought then (under the assumption that most things were very elaborate schemes to milk the paypigs) was scummy i didn't agree she deserved the massive amounts of pressure and hateful comments she was receiving and was hoping for her to eventually move on in life and be happy since i already knew about her mental issues.
I was already reading endless debates about this and i think i started checking this thread around her termination notice day.
I can't really pick up exactly when my impression of her changed again, it surely didn't happened overnight; but eventually i started realizing that some others anons were kinda right and her character wasn't a character at all,
much of her love toward her fans was real and she absolutely burned down her career just to prove this point (she could have done that and conserve it but that's besides the point).
Wanting her to explain herself, get a second chance in life and overcome her mental illnesses made me want to saviourfag her so hard and that grow out to
appreciating some of the little details of her personnality and genuinely wanting for her to start fresh, branch out and get even bigger free from the schackles of a corpo while finally being confident enough to give back all the love her fans have given to her.
