It doesnt have to be bone dry just dry enough. As long as you get out the majority of the water its fine because whats left is going to evaporate before it causes an issue. Dry sticks are great because they are basically silica gel and will pull in moisture. Cheap too.

Dont worry about it too much. As long as you flush it well under the tap and drain it well you are good to go in most cases. You only run into big issues with really tight holes that you have trouble accessing.

As long as its something like a solid plastic and not rubber or silicon im pretty sure its fine though im no expert. Plastics are far enough away from silicons it should be perfectly safe though. Oils break them down because they are a part of the material composition. They absorb oils but repel water so if you use oils the materials take it in and oversaturate it making it lose shape and such. Its like building a sandcastle. You wet the sand so it keeps its shape but if you put too much water in the whole thing disintegrates.

Yeah, so long as its just straight baby oil/mineral oil, its not only fine, but somewhat recommended. I'm not sure what material onas are made of, but for softer material like TPE (specifically dolls) its pretty much required to keep the material soft and flexible.

You really don't need to use it on something like silicone, though, because the material isn't the same, but I don't think it would hurt it to use as lube. It just does nothing to help the material.

You probably don't want to use any oil that has too many additives/fragrances/etc in it though.

However, if you go TPE, your only option is wigs, as implanted hair can only be done for silicone (though, I think there are some manufacturers that can combine sections of the head to give you softer material for the head, but harder material for the scalp). Seconding this; also you can do something similarly with pretty much any other food-sage, water soluble thickener: agar agar, xantham gum, any kind of starch (potato, corn, arrow root, tapioca, etc).
