How's the progress going? I'm still very curious about that error that was preventing someone from completing the OST patch.

In b4 flamewar over LOL HAMFISTS vs LOL GENERIC.

>> No.3942893

My art professor at Devry agrees that the original art carries more emotion and tension.

>> No.3942896

>>3942893
Devry doesn't have teachers. It would need to be a school first.

>patch original sprites
>didn't patch original backgrounds
Really?

>> No.3942898

It's fucking done, go look for it you faggot. There have been multiple threads for days.

>> No.3942907

Why does generic look so much better than ham?

He's talking about the Matsuri music and event artwork, idiot.

I'm not sure if i should patch the sprites..

- It's is the original art with which higurashi became popular and you can feel all nostalgic and shit

- on the other hand the art looks horrible and makes you laugh at the retards on the screen.. also if someone walks in and sees how you get emotional about all these hugefisted mutated things.. it could become awkward

>>3942953
Are there CG sets out for Matsuri or the other Alchemist versions of Higurashi?

>> No.3942985

>>3942897
Yes?

>> No.3942993

I'm still doing the ps2 ost patch. Some nice anon helped me with that cutscene which broke the emulator but now the savefiles are being mean to me, so I'll have to figure how can I get this to work.

Yes Ms. Greentext, in Japan it actually was popular before its anime.

Implying that they would make an anime of a random unpopular doujinsoft game.

So, anyone got a link to the sprite patch ?

I sure do. But where are you going to get one?

I come from the future. Thanks for the link, bro.

That would be really useful because...?

I don't want no fucking hamfists.

>> No.3943177

>>3943104
because it already has all the ps2 backgrounds and bgm correctly put and you wouldn't have to play through the first arc with the emulator

>> No.3943181

>>3943177
No, it has the original doujin OST and I'm inserting the ps2 one.

>> No.3943191

They're both alright IMO.
The ps2 sprites look neater and more proportional, but the original has more feeling in it.

K1 explains this in the third story.

You're a faggot.

>> No.3943307

I don't care for either set of sprites, I just want a grammar/typo update patch.

>> No.3943353

Is there an option to switch between the two sets of sprites?

it has the ps2 bgm's, it even has the cutscenes, for the love of god

Yes...that was the reason why it got an anime in the first place. I think what you meant was:

>implying that Higurashi was popular in the west before the anime.

>>3943353
Well, in a sense that you can choose whether or not to install the sprite patch, yes.
