Incidentally, this is why Sacchin is the best character in the series, because she's unrelated to all that wacky stuff.

Because we're talking about uniquely Japanese things. Things like nakige (crying games) do not have a western equivalent. Once again, you're being buttmad for an irrational reason; the loanwords are still being used correctly.

Tsukihime is a thousand times better. F/SN is, for the most part, just dull. Tsukihime has a lot of the same slow paced stuff in between action scenes, but the atmosphere and presentation make it much less annoying. F/SN feels like an odd shounen manga with ero thrown in, while Tsukihime actually has a good story if you cut out the shounen shit. F/SN definitely has good moments, but the overall product just feels a bit lacking. I'd still recommend playing it, but don't go in expecting the same thing you got in Tsukihime.

I have not played FSN, but I will say that it is almost certainly better than Tsukihime. Tsukihime was just meh tier. There were maybe seven scenes, not counting the endings, in the entire game that were worth watching, and it's not like they were even THAT great

Sacchin never really 'betrayed' him. From Shiki's perspective there was never a expectation or trust to betray. If anyone betrayed anyone, it was Shiki, who failed to keep his word to her not just once, but twice. Sacchin never really had a choice, the vampiric impulses forced her to kill, and she tried to convert Shiki as a last ditch lifeline to her old life and sanity.

Kohaku on the other hand, knowingly and more importantly, willingly deceived Shiki and used him in her scheme to kill his sister and SHIKI. Her mind was pretty warped, but she still had choices that Sacchin didn't. And you can't really say she wasn't trying to kill Shiki when she had SHIKI going out of his mind looking for him.

Satsuki is the best female character in Tsukihime.

She got her life saved by Shiki, and what does she do? Does she cling to him like some sort of desperate, pathetic slut?

Hell no.

She just admires the virtues of the man who rescued her from afar, content with merely observing him. This carries on for years, as she slowly develops a true, pure love that refuses to fade with the passage of time. Just watching Shiki was enough for her, but then one day she actually gets to walk home with him.

The amount of happiness this brought her was impossible for her to hide, and she finally got to interact one-on-one with the man she had come to love. Things were progressing even better than she had ever dreamed; it was almost looking like she could show Shiki the pure, innocent love she had for him and maybe even be accepted!

But then, she got bitten and turned into a vampire. Naturally, when that is the case, it is well-nigh impossible to resist the inevitable bloodlust. Satsuki even has to cave in to it. But when Shiki was put in danger by it, she actually manages to control the insatiable desire, and hold on to her sanity for the very end. All so she could protect the one who protected her so long ago; all so she could tell him the feelings she had kept to herself for so long.

And what was her reward?

The man she loves ceases her existence.
