Also don't forget, Japanese is a pitch accent language, Turkish is not. And to make matters even "worse", Japanese existed in a time where Turkey and all its non Roman predecessors was over a thousand years in the future.

The real "father" of the Japanese language is actually most likely just from the South-East Asian area while Japanese was changing so much that the real official answer is simply

If you are German, you are already fluent in how to read Japanese, while English people don't understand how to read words without saying something completely different that isn't written on paper)

Only reading and watching a card might simply not be enough for some people. There are different learning types (which is a disputed topic but worth looking into a bit). Some people might learn little by reading a book but are able to remember a lecture completely. Others will only remember a word if they saw a certain picture with it and another group of people will only remember shit they wrote. So here is what I do and you can call me an autist if you like:
1. Start review and go through new cards normally
2. Do whatever it is you do to remember your shit. Invent a story, look 20 times at pictures, repeat the voice file. Read aloud. Whatever floats your boat
3. Anything that I cannot remember clearly the next time it shows up another day gets a Red Flag and put on Hard
4. Sit down and browse the deck for Red Flags
5. Do a custom review of Red Flags and/or write them down in a little bookled/actual cards

7. Profit

I know the temptation to just Anki-it out and ignore everything else is a strong motivation in the beginning but this might just not be for you. You might drop the language even though another approach would've gotten you to fluency some day.

For context it's from, "私たちのことは気にすらな！"
This means like, "Don't worry about us!", but I'm having trouble figuring where the の fits in. Isn't の possessive? So like, "Our actions are don't worry about!"? Or is it something else?
