Japanese textbooks usually say the subject can be omitted, or is implied, but they never say stuff like "yeah が/は are ALWAYS grammatically there even if invisible" It's hard to explain but the way Cure Dolly puts it, and the importance she places on it, makes understanding Japanese way easier on a structural level.

People are also ignoring how the textbooks get so much other stuff wrong. How the conjugations are really just helper verbs etc. which, if they explained it that way, would make things much easier to grasp I feel.
