I actually do need to give my fumo and sukusuku hakutaku a wash due to them being covered in cave silt.

Any advice on not turning them into mold traps and such?

Get the joke but for real pic related. Her underbelly is just beige instead of the original white from one put-down
Even Tenshi got some despite being in my backpack the whole time
Just been living a life and never been a position to give a full proper scrubdown before now, should probably

Hand wash in cold water and dry them yourself. Don't just let them air dry.

I don't own a dryer or a hand dryer, I actually use air drying for everything.
How do I dry something myself without a device dedicated to desiccation?
That's my problem.

It's the end of a trail from a literal 100ft down hole-in-the-ground leading to an underground lake.
The water you see is the lakewater flowing into the Current River. I suppose it is super nutritious because the opening is covered in moss on the riverbed, but it is hypothermically cold if you try to swim in it like I did. Also fuck horseflies.
I highly recommend it if you ever have a reason to be 2 hours drive from there, which hopefully should be never.

It was a long-ass exposure because the cave was pitch-black once you got as far as Shimmy there.
That is much more bright than what it looks like in real life, so you get that unnerving contrast. 💀

Cool, have a good one.
>The water isn't that cold though, harden the fuck up.
Not sure when you went, but in the Summer it made me involuntarily spasm when getting into it, so can't really harden up much on that. At least the current wasn't like the main part of the river, nearly got swept away when I misjudged it.
Oh and if you ever do go back, make sure to try Johnson's Shut-ins if you haven't. Nice place.

>> No.39250670

>>39250630
If you want a really good time, canoe the current in the late fall when no one is there, it's beautiful. If there's no ice in the water you'll be fine, just make sure you can dry off. Or the Meramec, really, just pick a river. Although since it's spring you might be able to catch the dogwoods blooming, if you're into that kind of thing. Usually the places are pretty happy to get off-season income, but I'd call ahead to make sure. The shut-ins are pretty cool.

>> No.39250697

>>39250670
Hmm, think we're of pretty similar upbringing since I've done as you've advised. For example, I bet you've been in rivers clean enough to pick those those golden-like crawdads and use them as bait, or just know someone who will get you down "private" roads and into good upriver landings for exploration.
Good on you.
