She's very self-assured and, judging by PoFV, quite self-aware. She handles interactions with others decently well while never getting swallowed up by her surroundings. There's a very marked contrast between the power she has and how completely unrestrained and easygoing she is, whether it's silly PC-98 Yuuka who just wants to have a fun time, or the laid back Windows Yuuka who sees no real reason to worry about or force anything. Singling out any specific quality feels like it would paint an incomplete picture.
This is why, unlike the first anon, I think that most interpretations of her miss the mark, either by hyper-focusing on one aspect to the detriment of the overall representation or by ignoring/rejecting certain elements because they do not fit into the story they are trying to fashion. It wouldn't be right to blame them, of course, it is a difficult thing to capture and even some of my favourite artists tend to go wild with some things for comedic effect or similar.

I'm disappointed that there's no parody of The Persistence of Memory with pajama Yuuka.

That's fairly simple. If we consider PC-98 as technically canonical but near irrelevant for the current state of things (which is the impression I have of it), the only real information about Yuuka's activities are that she goes around to view and enjoy flowers that are currently active/blooming in that given season from the PoFV profile, she apparently visits Reimu's shrine sometimes and allegedly purchases flowers from the village florist according to PMiSS, and her hobby is effectively rendered as taking it easy or lazing around in the third volume of SCoOW. This isn't very much information to go off of, but I find that it's perfectly in keeping with a few of her characterizations in earlier appearances. While I don't deny that depictions we would call classic by this point like Gardener Yuuka or Bakerin have their charm, since they paint her out to be a solitary but hard-working, industrious lady devoted to her work, ultimately trustworthy though a little frightening, in the end they try to make her closer to something palatable to a given person, more likeable in the general sense, and easy to justify, since, if we primarily view her as a woman, who wouldn't want a woman he likes to be dedicated and passionate in such a clear way?
I for one can't help but feel that this takes away from some of her charm. From the very start Yuuka has been more or less quite silly. PoFV tones that aspect down a little but it's still quite intact through all of her sharp interactions. Even in PC-98 where she was technically the master of a mansion, whose shape and structure is pure guesswork, she mostly seemed to be minding her business. In Seihou, after winning a match, she would occasionally just comment on how the weather is perfect for a nap.
In spite of my disagreements with certain others posters here in certain other threads, there's something distinctly girlish about Yuuka, a sort of freedom, an unbound attitude that allows her to act the way she does, both alone, in company, and before and after fights. In a way it is childish, like the attitude of someone without any real responsibilities or deep connection to outside elements that would make them invested in the typical dealings of life. This is why I think ZUN, even after all those years, and likely a few efforts to imply he doesn't want to do much with her any more, still had the good sense to put her hobby as just relaxing and taking it easy. Aside from one section in PoFV that has interesting but unexplored implications, there's no real evidence that she does anything she does because she has to or is forced to by other circumstances. Other powerful or older Youkai have pseudo-administrative positions, seek after their own goals or do whatever they please in dramatic fashion. That last one they likely took out of PC-98 Yuuka's book and her "just because" invasion of Makai. Windows Yuuka, though less outgoing, seems content with her own company. In that sense, this almost completely unaffiliated, independent position is very much properly, if abstractly, Youkai-like.
In short she likely has no other hobbies, but she might not even have hobbies, since, if you have no real work, what is there to distinguish one thing as necessary and another as volitional and done for recreation or similar?

As for these, they hit upon an interesting element. Based on PoFV dialogue Yuuka seems to be quite aware of how the cycles of Nature function, so rot, decay, death and similar, likely do not affect her too drastically. As many would tell you, after all, life and death are closely intertwined, and everything that lives must die. Alternatively, you might have a more pessimistic view of this, and say that everything that dies must live. This is also why the gardener thing never held up in my mind, since someone who is aware of such things would have no real reason to personally interfere in the life cycle of flowers, crops, vegetation and similar, not to a great degree at least, certainly not like what humans do. Recall how Akyuu says that she shows no fear in battle, regardless of her opponent. Is this because of extreme confidence in her own power? That's the most plausible explanation. What if it's something else? What if it's some deeper understanding that has completely removed the concept of fear (fear for herself or some ill outcome) from her mind? That would not be out of the question.

I think you hit the nail on the head, but honestly I see MS as the least canon of basically all her works. More so than just general PC98 noncanon-ness, it feels like her appearance was really forced, since ZUN was probably unsure if he'd get any other opportunity to include her and probably wanted a little send off to his teenage project.
It also makes her come off as kind of insane. First you have her profile, where ZUN says she's uncharismatic and it's hard to know what she's thinking. Then you have the line where she says genocide is just a game, but then in the good ending of the game she has a line where she explicitly says she does not want to harm innocents while she is testing out magic in her general failed quest to become a wizard - also another un-Yuuka like thing, experimenting with hobbies. Nobody really knows about that one though since barely anyone plays mystic square much less 1ccs it and much less 1ccs it with Yuuka but yeah.

She obviously likes a little teasing here and there and she's fairly good at teasing/beating people even in conversations but she doesn't seem to be overly active about it, especially when compared to MS where she's practically out for weakling blood. While Eiki does chide her for indiscriminately attacking or at least fighting everyone she came across, she puts more focus on the "indiscriminately" rather than the "attacking".

In the general sense that's not wrong, and a lot of it can be ascribed to ZUN having no idea what he wanted to do with her. He never really did, and he never will seeing as how he hasn't bothered to try since PMiSS. Even so I am willing to give a few of those the benefit of the doubt, that Yuuka seemingly embodying contrary principles depending on what you decide to reference is also part of the charm. The genocide comment is great because, honestly, it instantly filters people out, when in the simplest sense it's typical pre-fight banter that Shinki even correctly recognizes as primarily a jab at her and her creations, which is an impressive pre-emptive strike considering that Yuuka only finds out who Shinki is in the following stage. After that her good ending goes back to the silly old fun times that Touhou has practically always been, not knocking people who want something interesting from official material these days but even back then it was like ZUN wanted to play everything up as being dangerous and important and crazy, with the music and gameplay selling that impression, only for the rest to be almost shockingly non-threatening, at least in presentation. That is it's own conversation of course.
The bad ending is great however because it allows me to freely theorize that Yuuka is more or less aware that she is a fictional character and has her current position of canonical irrelevance as a result of this

That's about right, nothing was set in stone and nothing was made with the intention of setting anything in stone to begin with, it's whimsical and obscure, almost like a dream. When exactly that stopped is a little harder to say.
6-8 still have a similar feeling, maybe slightly less in 8. 9 is potentially where the shift really began to take shape, the whole game is about one cycle ending and marking the beginning of the next, being a Phantasmagoria and bringing back Yuuka make it seem like a throwback or a time to reflect on the series up to that point, and maybe the biggest thing was Bohemian Archive being released only a little earlier, which was the first real official work that focused exclusively on information related to the characters and world. 10 onwards solidified this general direction.
Innocent is a little debatable but they all seemed to be having fun, enjoying the moment, then going back to the usual right after. Ah, the perks of being unapologetically chuuni yet fully aware you're just playing around.

ZUN isn't a brilliant writer but only his PC-98 dialogue feels excessively simplistic. The rest is weird or a little obtuse. I wouldn't consider most of them geniuses, and even if they are geniuses they're primarily described or presented as geniuses, not quite written like geniuses since that would be difficult. Even then they aren't really stupid, just operating in a strange way, only the usual suspects like Cirno or Mystia seem to be pretty slow.

I dreamt of visiting her in a house up in the clouds. Then I notice the kills are 15-5 so I say "nice." I see enemy's top barracks tower get destroyed, then we win shortly after.
Also same day I had my own house in the clouds, except mine was just a mattress. I peered over the rim with a bit of acrophobia, but everything was covered in clouds, though I thought that if I concentrated on wherever in the world I wished to see the clouds would part to that location.
