Sorry for being a slowpoke on this, but my prepaid credit card was being slow so I couldn't get the game earlier...

Higurashi Question English soundtrack: http://www.mediafire.com/?momyhx5mlwk
And, for comparison,

So, what's /jp/'s opinion? Improved soundtrack or was the original one better?

Doesn't matter, it is getting replaced one way or another with the PS2 soon.
Some anon also reported that instead of getting variation, a single track is being used to replace 2tracks.

I'm that anon.
It's not one track only. Various tracks are repetitions. Mion and Rena no longer have custom themes, they use the generic "feel good" bgm who also sounds in a lot of other places. More tracks are duplicated too, when they shouldn't. By what I'm seeing the game soundtrack has been cut by half, at least.
I'm working on a "patch", but the brick wall I'm hitting is this:
futagotachi demo uses the same bgm order as mangagamer tracks (which don't have names, they're just numbered), so replacing them is easy as pie.
The problem I need the same numbering for the tracks for chapters 2-4, but the original japanese game just has the tracks in alphabetical order, with names. This doesn't match the order MG uses. But I suspect, somehow the original game uses the same order, internally, but I don't know how to find out. It's maybe in the script somewhere. Or probably matches the music box order? but I can't access the music box because I'd had to unlock everything and I've yet to play further than chapter 2. Can someone with the music box unlocked in the original japanese game post the track order?
Please, help me with this!

Okay, after testing the list I posted, I think it positively matches with Mangagamer's track list. It should be a matter of converting to ogg and then to BGI ogg.

Then, I have a request. Does somebody have a link to the original soundtrack, before the rerelease? I only have the latter and the original up to chapter 1 (the demo). It'd be nice if we could have 2 patches to choose between.
