The real power of those games is that every touhou character has already tons of porn so what I do is I start dating someone in game and then when I activate the sex scenes in the game I look up the doujins or the pictures and project the game into the doujin story

Everyone says these era games are basically the best porn games but I don't get it. First you lose like an hour grinding the love stats of a character by going trough the same options over and over. Nothing against grinding in itself but hardly any other porn game, even RPG Maker or renpy trash feels this awful to grind. You basically click over and over on the same options, then go to sleep, then go find the character again which is cumbersome in itself and then go trough those same options again, then go to sleep and do this again and again and again. There is nothing else to making a character like you but going trough the same options over and over again.

Then you get to the porn, you pick an option, the first scene feels good, it's hot, you can actually get off to this. However here it begins to fall apart. You have to click over and over on the sex option till the characters orgasm and when they come it's not over, it just goes on. It goes like this

Again, that's how most games work, when it comes to text as well. You can only do so much until it becomes repetitive. Look at CoC and Lilith's Throne, for example. It depends on who decided to write it, it's about immersing yourself into the game rather than just "need to grind number so they can love me", focus on dating, on gift, activities together. You can train humans into level E for ez danmaku first wins and studying with someone + Dictionary can give you 2 to 3 points every hour. Music forces you into a lonely room until C rank so you don't piss off every girl around you and has double the point requirements of other disciplines. The rainbow at the end of the storm is cooking to lure girls into a room and performing for them. Makes NG+ fun.

The first era game I've ever played was eraTYPE-MOON. The instadeath stoning only ever happens during banquets and oddly if you use the gather command at any regular time you can play in front of a crowd of 30 hoes without any of them throwing a rock at you even if you've got the guitar skills of Lil Wayne. Never had anyone ever throw a stone at me regardless of how low my skill was unless someone in the crowd was working, and the "fuck off, I'm working" reaction persisted all the way to A rank at which point I just stopped playing in front of working people.

Mostly a lot of people want to just live out their desires in TW. I enjoy K. Megaten can be tough to get into, but it has a lot of content to go through if you're willing. The reality is that these are the ones that are mostly translated, thus getting the most attention, and they're based on existing franchises (some others are too though) so translators go to things that primarily interest them as well. Plus, a lot of other games are kind of stuck in prototype territory where there's not that much to do with them since many Era games are slave trainers at heart regardless of the window dressing surrounding them. AkumaMaid, SQN, AS... If 4X was further along I would be pretty into it.

FGO-K is probably about 90% TohoK and the events aren't translated for it. The regular explore events that I think are all 1:1 with TohoK, not the few and far between character events. SLG Skill descriptions aren't translated either. Most games stop at UI translations and don't have the generic results of actions like caress or even the settings menu, and that's before if there's any character dialogue or trait descriptions.

I think there MIGHT be a touhou mod for stardew valley but if there is it definitely doesn't replace dialogue. Huge missed opportunity for modders.

I wish this game would present all possible options at all times, including the ones you lack the requirements for in a greyed out state, with maybe a hint what you lack to do them.

Yep, nothing more storywise. There's Rise and Naoto in Shinjuku, Margaret after P3 and her fight and lots of random characters in Ikutsuki's exchange.
If you want to get to P5 stuff, do colosseum battles. After a few you should get to a fight against "a man with a bowgun" after which there should be a straight line to a dungeon called Lokapala. All the P5 stuff got tossed in there.
