I know I'm late on this one, but I finally got around to finishing Kunado Kokuki. Fun enough chuunimoege overall, had some really great moments, but mixed in with the typical very dumb stuff, although only one twist was particularly ridiculous. The non-true routes kind of feel like they don't really add much to the VN, and the VN has absolutely nothing for Yuuri to do once her arc is over at the start. I liked the VN, but it's not something I'd recommend unless you really want a mid chuunimoege with some great art.
I hope Koku works for another company at some point.

Oh, this one is funny. I refused to read nukitashi for two years at this point, but about a month ago decided to give it a try, after i saw egs score for henpri.
Yes, i am a zoomer and i jerk off to ratings. Anyway, i read nukitashi 1, which was okay, but pacing wasn't that good, misaki route aside. Then after short break i started nukitashi 2, finished SS girls routes so far and i love every second of it, and i do consider starting henpri after nukitashi 2. You can pretty clearly see that Henpri uses a similar structure, introducing each heroine and giving them focus one by one in the common route, but it's much better paced. Qruppo's writing improves significantly with each game.

Red Cherish was fucking great. The story is pretty simple, but it's put together quite well and the execution is awesome. The final fight was hype as hell and I liked how Zylbert's deal was that he was metaphorically a grumpy old man that couldn't get with the times. Also, I wish I had a Unica gf.

The main plot doesn't really start to get going until the second game. There's a few decent bits in the later parts of the first game as well, but overall it's mostly just introducing the setting and setup for later stuff. Also, the side routes in the whole series are all short and super inconsequential, so you won't miss out on anything by skipping them. You should however unlock Ushio's optional epilogues in both first and second game as the third one considers them canon.

So uh, finished スライム娘の育て方. So if you don't mind me going on an autistic rant about tangential shit instead of focusing on sexeing the slime, this is probably legit the biggest kusoge I've forced myself to finish. The premise is sort of interesting: the protagonist is a worker at some lab and saves a poor tortured slime girl, and attempts to fix her. I was sort of expecting at least something vaguely on the level of Butterly Affection - Slime Girl Edition. This game pretends to be a raising sim, it's got a bit similar "gameplay" to Teaching Feeling, as in repeat POKE POKE, RUB RUB actions until the girl likes you. If only real girls were this simple. And subsisted on my semen. Problem here is the lack of variety, since most raising sims have more stuff to do or at least stats that affect something. Teaching Feeling for example had take the girl out to eat, buy her real clothes, raising her lust was requirement for activating some stuff and, but not here. Never mind actual raising nukige with proper H-scenes.

And since this a sim rather than a proper linear VN, most of the game is composed of disjointed short scenes where nothing really is happening. But the very worst of all is that the main heroine is just generic, and the character development happens with the subtlety of an on-off switch. She changes disposition overnight from 警戒 where she still fears the protagonist somewhat to 信頼, complete with "lets be together forever" line, like it's missing a step in between. I mean if you're going to give the players a suffering backstory at least drag it out somewhat. The final evolution where she turns adult is crap as well, it's not even development, she literally just turns from a kid into a completely another character type altogether. The deep blue version is a generic adult heroine, like it's so archetypical I can't even think a word for it. The red one on the other hand is a devilish pervert. I mean the idea of raising a heroine into different types could work, if you f.ex. had options of doing kinky stuff early on and it caused her to become more erotic as well, but the raising part is so inconsequential and has no real choices unless you start repeating scenes. Besides you can just force the desired status with 2 regular dialogue choices right before the final evolution prompt, so none of the supposed mechanics matter anyways. Apparently the devs have later released a lamia & harpy game with a similar idea: child version that evolves into one of two types depending on stats during level up. Don't know how that is but at least the art seems better, there's more stats and the UI doesn't seem as shite. For what it's worth the red slime is slightly better, probably because I played it drunk.

The setting is also shit and underdeveloped for all the stuff supposedly going on in the background. There's this plot about humans creating artificial life forms to battle humanoid sentient 魔物, and the slime heroine got apparently created for a war against the latter and tortured hard before game start. Scientist protagonist just quits some ultratech lab and then we're in some wooden house in the mountains that doesn't apparently have electricity. It instantly jumps there within minutes of starting, no escape or travel sequence or anything. The optional gaiden stories - that only serve the story by leading up to its contrived ending - you get between each relationship phase have medieval-like background images. But apparently firearms also exist. It's all over the place. I mean the devs could've just made it normal fantasy with the protagonist finding a beaten up sentient slime or something, and it'd be a lot less fucking stupid. The game apparently recycles backgrounds from the devs' previous titles, probably why you get the mishmash setting. I mean even worst nukige at least try.

But this is a nukige right? Well not really, the H-scenes are very short. Only one HCG per scene, some "new" H-scenes even just use the same base CG from previous ones but just add something small like her slime covering the protag's entire dick instead of just tongue. Not particularly erotic. Unless you consider her sprite being naked 100% of time enough to get you off. WHERE IS THE CONSENSUAL SKULLFUCKING SCENE? WHERE IS THE NIPPLE PENETRATION? YOU LITERALLY HAVE A GIRL MADE OF JELLO WITH POTENTIALLY INFINITE HOLES. Disregarding the whole shoddy characterization, it's like the devs didn't fully understand the appeal of slime girls apart from bare minimum.

This isn't the fun unhinged kind of trash game. This is the boring shit kind of trash with no redeeming qualities - boring plot, boring characters, boring ero, boring art and seiyuu who doesn't seem to care.

Actually I'm just the psychopath from few threads prior who was looking for post-break healing games and the initial premise seemed right up my alley. Obviously this game didn't deliver on that front and neither as fun pure love monster girl nukige so at the very least I figured out I'd get some enjoyment out of trashing it, especially since it was short and not too much of an investment to finish fully.

alright, after updating both magpie and windows I still had the same issue of it crashing in admin mode--but, since I daily drive my pc using a separate limited account without admin privileges, I decided to log into the actual admin account and try magpie on there and it works perfectly fine.
