An essay on why Killua is (almost definitely) a gay character

I know this has been discussed. I'm sure I'm not the first person come up with these points. However this is my reading of the text. I did no other research like watching YT video or reading other essays. I just finished watching and this is solely my own interpretation of what I just watched. I'm a straight cis male if it matters

Is killua the character canonically gay? We don't know the answer to that. I guess no he isn't (yet)

Is killua intentionally written as a gay coded character with a story arc meant to portray the struggles of a gay child trying find acceptance within his family? If you doubt this then you are flat out in denial.

Let's look at the facts. Killua is a black sheep in the family. Sure the zoldyks are a tough love family but killua seems uniquely abused even among his brothers. His brothers are shit bags and killua is a nice kid. There is no good reason for killuas treatment. The fat computer brother is doted upon. Illumi is the golden child and killua just doesn't belong. That is a match to a gay experience.

Killua had to run from his family and literally remove a mind control needle his family forced on him so that he could be free of their influence and be who he chooses to be. This also too perfectly matches a gay experience. This and killuas electricity based power give me shock therapy vibes.

Now all of this could be a coincidence. It could JUST be about abuse in general and not an experience of being outcast for homosexuality....alluka removes any doubt that the writer is intentionally writing a gay story. The writer knows what they're doing. You dont write the alluka story combined with the killua story on accident.

Alluka is referred to as brother and he/him pronouns by everyone in the family except Killua. Killua even angrily exclaims to everyone that "alluka is a girl." alluka is a trans character. 100%. No subtexts. It is stated explicitly in the text of the show. Killua MIGHT be gay but alluka IS trans. There is no other interpretation.

And oh look, alluka is called a monster and "thing" and "it". She is also deeply abused and neglected by the family. The family thinks she is evil and must be hidden. Killua sees that she is beautiful, a healer, and kind. He sees that she just wants to be praised and recognized for being who she is.

And what's the culmination of the Alluka and killuas relationship story line? Killua tries to hide the part of allukas identity called nanika like every one else; and alluka says NO. Its part of her identity. You can't say you love alluka and then deny part of who she is. Just like you cant say you love a trans person while tiptoeing around or denying a part of them..

So here's my reading of the story. Killua is a gay kid being outcast by his family. He leaves home, finds friends that accept and love him unconditionally, removes the doubt and control his family placed on him, and becomes confident in himself and who he is. He then returns to his family to rescue the sister he had to abandon from the same situation he left. Alluka then has to finally assert herself and demand that the people around her accept her identity in full so she no longer has to live while hiding her full self.

And I did all that without saying "kILluA BLusHeS aT gON". It's way deeper than that. Also hisoka is very male fem. This show is full of really obvious LGBTQ representation
