Yesterday I mined the word 狡猾
it uses 2 kanji I've never seen before; for this and for the future, what's the best way to quickly find out if those 2 kanji are used a lot in other compounds as well, or if they are basically just used for this one compound and so it's not worth studying them separately at all?

Reminder that it takes an estimated 2200 to learn Japanese to fluency. But given how you're all fags lets go with 2500. If you do legitimate studying for 5 hours a day it will take you 500 days. This is probably more or less what John did. But given that most people would probably do roughly 2 a day then you'll need 1250 days which is about 3 and a half years. Very nooby question (2nd week learning)

I've read from Tae Kim's guide that くんよみ is used for stand-alone kanji and おんよみ is used when there's 2 kanji or more, but when I try to apply this rule there are some cases where it doesn't work

Pic related is my dictionary search for two in japanese (くんよみ = イ千 and おんよみ = ひと）and the first example has the onyomi reading for it alone, the 2nd has the kunyomi reading for 2 kanji, the 3rd has the onyomi for 2 kanji, and that goes against the rules I have learned
Am I doing something wrong? sorry if it's a stupid question I am very confused
