You can sustain 40 (in core2k) if you’re reading at least an hour a day. Since the words are extremely common your reading helps retention and answer speed a lot.
Motivation comes after you start and you see progress. You probably didn’t see enough progress to motivate you because you didn’t go hard enough. Do at least an hour or two per day of reading on average and you’ll be amazed at what you can do compared to before after a few weeks.
