One of the things that has given me some hope for the future is that Mike appears to want to keep the same dynamic between her the fans as before. I've honestly never had any kind of autism towards vtuber vs 3D. My only concern is "do I care enough to watch". Vtubers drew from a particular subset of people that tended to fit the types I liked, but once I find them using the "filter" of vtubing I couldn't give a shit honestly
To me, Rushia feels like when one of my favorite characters in a TTRPG died out of nowhere because I did something completely reckless with him. I loved playing that character and appreciate the memories and fun times I had with him, but in the end it was just the mask I wore for so many memories and to lose it felt as if I'd somehow lose those memories.
At the end of the day, though, we should remember that we aren't usually given masks to wear, we form them by bumbling in the dark, gradually refining it into some weird mental piece of art.

It reminds me of those monks who spend years making super complicated patterns with sand or some shit only to tip it ver and completely eradicate their years of work as soon as they finish it.
