Mortal Stampede is the only which is as good as the VN version, imo. The remixes of all the zts songs are far worse than the originals, and the rest is just a bit different. Actually, the worst thing about the anime OST are not the rearregements but the way they are using the songs.

This. They are using too much some songs and the good ones play in scenes they shouldnt, it's like the sound director doesnt care at all.

The arrangements are all better than the original(Except mortal stampede. it sucks now), stop whining. Music that's made by a real studio is always infinitely better than some doujin artist when it comes to quality. It's not like they changed the original melody, or anything, they just improved the overall quality of it. Im quite disappointed that some arrangements were left out, I hope they plan on releasing another OST.

And you know what? The anime has some good original tracks itself. You have to admit that not all songs on the VN ost are suited for anime scenes. But I'm not saying that I'm not angry that some more notable scenes had their original music removed.

I'm not sure what to think about the Answer adaptation. It's not bad, just... different.

あかいくつ偽 is just sped up with parts sounding more like a chorus than in the VN

Happiness of Marionette (anime ver.) sounds better than the original as it actually sounds like an orchestra is there performing for EVA's coronation. Wish EVA didn't get one of the best themes in the VN.

Answer is alright I guess though the violins are hit or miss.

The remix of Happiness of Marionette makes me think of Mario RPG

Been skimming through tracks here and there, and as a soundtrack in its own right, it's actually pretty good. But one of the things that made all the original music so awesome was that you'd immediately associate them with various scenes. When thinking about Answer, who doesn't think of the time Beatrice and Batter decide to start everything at the start of Turn? Or Natsuhi's paranoia during Legend for system_0? Or beloved goat-kun and Krauss for death (from stupefaction)? And all those other wonderful songs. That's what the anime music doesn't do. When listening to the anime's soundtrack, I can't really do that. I can't put scenes with songs, and it really does lessen the whole experience.

Seeing as this is an Umineko thread, guess I'll ask some questions regarding the mastermind.

1) Which episodes do you all think the mastermind survived until the last three sacrifice twilights or later? So far, I feel that Episodes 1 and 4 are the only times this has occurred. It's possible for Episode 5 for the mastermind to survive until the end but without reading it, I can't form an opinion on it.

2) Who do you all believe to be the mastermind's accomplices? The only ones I concretely believe to be accomplices are Nanjo, Genji and Kanon.

3) Is the mastermind the only person who knows of the gold's location at the beginning of all Episodes, or is this knowledge someone else's?
