It makes her useful for units like Natori/Urza/Seigan/etc, but it just takes way too long for you to convert action and then wait for them to get a turn again. by the time you do all that, the battle's already over.

I disagree? For Natori at least she's fast enough that you can usually get two of her moves out there, assuming 1) the enemies aren't freakishly fast and 2) your monk isn't really slow.

Makutsudou however also has convert action, and doesn't cost a satisfaction bonus and 5 total action fans to acquire, for the cost of 5 bonus points on second games.

I'm having trouble getting Omachi to change back from her stone. I'm in Kenshin's route and I want to get her before I face Xavier.

I've beaten her in battle and got her stone.
Conquered the youkai territories.
Masamune joined and I got him up to trust.
He still hasn't changed Omachi back from her stone and I keep raising his affection points.

I've got Omachi before with no problem in the kill the monkey route but I have no idea why I can't get her this time.

50's commanders sound good.

My characters were 45+, with a level 99 Rance and no Kentarou.

Kill the Orochi Girls first, every last one. Also, don't put your strongest characters in the first wave of attacks because Orochi will fuck them up with his earthquake.

Once the Orochi girls are dead, just throw everything you have. Most level 40 or below characters will be killed in one shot, Rance took about 9 hits before he died off.

I pretty much just used Rance Attacks + Sill convert action + Himiko convert action to take away about 6000 HP, with heals on Rance. My mistake was putting my strongest characters in the initial battle, so I lost a 6 move Kenshin, Uruzu and other characters.

By the end I had about 7 left, and Masamune finished it off. If you can kill the Gundan without trouble, Orochi won't be too much worse.

Playing through Kichikuou. Way harder than Sengoku.

Anyhow, Rance is a lot crueler and there are some pretty twisted scenes in this game. A lot of monster rape and such.

After you take over Hellman, some of the cities rebel. To supress the revolution, Rance takes their idol, Queen Shiela, and...Well, you'll get the idea from the picture. It's kind of like what he did to Komatsu to quiet her fans, but much more cruel. Also, this is after you find out that Hellman's advisor had been forcing Shiela and her mother to inject what is basically heroin (needle and all), and raped them for many years, and she's suffering from withdrawel symptoms now that her kingdom fell and the bastard ran off.

It's definately not made just to have "evil" Rance. It's normal Rance. It's just that people have only played Sengoku, which is really mild compared to the old Rance games.

When I got Orochi, Rance was 51 and Kentarou was 47. Uruza was 72, and all other commanders were their base level +7 (I did 2 Ogre runs and 5 dungeons), with a few exceptions when I managed to give them an additional +2 levels from Affection.
The first time he used his big move on my six best characters and I lost, but the second time he used it on pretty average characters and I beat him.
Basically he's not that hard, you just have to hope he doesn't use his move at a bad time.

There's no use to taking bigger screenshots, really, since it doesn't get better than 800x600. It's the native resolution, so if it's any bigger it means the image is being artificially stretched (it's bigger but the relative quality decreases).
I suppose you could simply run the screenshot through an image editor and stretch it to 1600x1200. It'd still fit on a standard monitor screen, you'd just have to realize that 3/4 of the image would be "filler".
