Dear guest, while lurking our board please refrain from creating meta threads. Especially meta threads like this that /jp/ers cant relate to. For us, there is no "coming to /jp/." /jp/ is our home (and only a minority of us frequent the other boards).

Furthermore, some boards might have better topics than ours such as /a/ - anime & manga or /v/ - video games, but we despise said boards because of their userbase. The only userbase we see as equals to us is /tg/.

I love the content /jp/ theoretically discusses, namely vns and touhou games.

/jp/ has a tragically low amount of discussion and OC. Most threads are spam or slut threads, with a good amount of trolling the country of japan in a weak attempt to get /jp/ to look like /n/.

The vn translation is a good thing, and the rance threads are nice.

These are annoying but don't really bother me. The whole neet celebration and the bizarre sense of elitism that comes with it does.

Creating our own stuff should be something that's encouraged. If people are as neet as they claim, they have all the time in the world to actually create something rather than spam memes all day.

I do agree with you on that original content should be encouraged (one of course may claim it also brings stupidity and needless drama, but at least it's a change from the daily doses. ) but the reason KS isn't discussed is that all that can be discussed about it already is (not that there's a lot of that, KS being a slice of life game. ) It's akin to how /a/ never discusses Berserk, there's nothing left to discuss.

I personally hang around to hijack threads with /an/ content (truth be told, /an/ is even slower than /jp/. ) but I hope I am careful enough to do it infrequently enough so I won't draw anyone's ire.

Rance threads are nice in theory, but you shouldn't read them every time they come up.

Occasionally, VN threads get a little meta and I like those.

Granted, but not everyone should be expect to have read that first thread back then and never discuss it again. Repetitive? Sure, but it shows a continued interest in the game and it is (i think) the only online community that discusses the game. People are obviously having fun playing the game and talking about it I don't think they should be forced to stop because you (you personally) have already heard it.

I've stayed on /a/ till a while ago, but it's just gotten unbearable. One Piece threads probably make up a tenth of all threads. Bleach/Naruto are now openly acceptable. /a/ only talks about two shows a season now. Every post is a troll post. Damn, is there anything good about /a/ these days? I wish there was a decent place to talk about anime/manga, but /jp/'s as close as it's gonna get (and I do enjoy the VN threads a lot).
