I didn't play F/SN until Mirror Moon finished translating HF.

I made every choice as I would were I the protagonist and ended with Aeka. The only issue I have is I wouldn't have run away at the end. What a pair of faggots.

It was only going to escalate. If they killed Nanjou, they would have been thrown in prison for the rest of their youths and a significant portion of their adults lives. Knowing Aeka, she'd kill herself instead of allowing herself to be thrown into yet another hostile environment, without Kouhei, to be tortured by her peers again with no end in sight.

If they hadn't killed Nanjou but stayed at school, the incident would have most likely resulted in faculty action against Aeka and Kouhei, and whether it did or not, Nanjou and her man would have come back with a larger group in a more isolated setting, more heavily armed, to carry out vengeance against Aeka and Kouhei. There wouldn't be another chance for Kouhei and Aeka to turn the tables against the odds stacked against them.

Exile is exile. It's an unstoppable force. Entire lives are destroyed in a game where the only winning move is not to play. As pathetic and unsatisfying as it is, leaving the school and letting Nanjou live was the only way Aeka and Kouhei's lives were ever going to improve. No other combination of actions would have led to anything but their downfall. Even if they took a few bullies down with them, they still pay the ultimate price themselves.

It's infuriating, but you gotta know when to hold 'em and you gotta know when to fold 'em.

What surprised me most was the "tuition" being paid by the students at the school. I don't know how it works in Japan, but in America, this means the students are attending a private school. While the events of YMK's Aeka route are disturbingly likely in an American public school, that shit would never fly in a private school. The staff disciplinarian would have cracked down hard, primarily on the punk boyfriend and subsequently on the entire class if everyone stayed silent when questioned as to where a pair of desks were hidden. The flippant remarks by the peanut gallery would instantly result in them getting picked off by faculty one by one until the crowd got the fucking point, and the offenders would find themselves digging holes or scrubbing bathrooms until they either caught on and cut the shit or got themselves expelled within a week.

I would be amazed to learn of this extreme level of bullying going on in a private school. The faculty tends to have their act together and be significantly less fearful of lawsuits, so the students don't get to have free reign like they do in public schools and YMK.

Teenagers have been tried as adults and served over 30 years in America, depending on their crimes. It's especially likely for cases of homicide where the defendant does not attempt a plea bargain. The nature of the victim also contributes. If a teenage girl stabs a 30-something black guy in an alley, she's probably going to get a lighter sentence than two students who murder a teenage girl on the rooftop of their school, or if they're a group of teenagers who rob a suburban house and murder the little old lady who happened to be inside.

It can happen. Here in the States, you're judged by twelve peers. The more socially unacceptable your crime is at a glance, no matter how strongly the details supporting your case are, the less likely you are to get off easy.

And you know how the rest of the class would have testified. Oh, that Nanjou was such a good girl, liked to play and shop and have fun. But that Aeka, she seemed disturbed. And remember that time she decked Nanjou in the middle of the classroom? I guess we should have known there was something wrong with her. Yup, toss that psycho in a cell and throw away the key. Justice served.

I still need to do Mizuki's route. After finishing Aeka's route and then Nekoko's I just couldn't find the motivation with Mizuki, not when I know poor Aeka's fate or that Nekoko is going around without semen. ;_;

Summarize Nekoko's route for me, besides the anal sex.

Running away was retarded. He was willing to take it to a teacher and when that failed he gave up. Taking it higher and higher until some results are given is what they needed to do, if the teacher wouldn't help go to the principal, if the principal won't help go to the school board, if the school board won't help go to the local authorities, if the police won't help, go to the newspapers. The newspapers would adore such a story and that would enact all sorts of action. Having a protagonist who was willing to go to a teacher for help but then gave up was gay and not the good sort of homosexual gay.
