There's a 2 minute 30 second scene where the main character opens a can of Surströmming and every single sentence in it is just 2 characters shouting at each other. Arc in almost dead job mode and Arc, functionally God are good for different things fight-wise. They didn't even really change her fight style too much until Ciel Extra, they just actually wrote fights for it.
Likewise with Shiki, in his good fights MEoDP is a win condition, not a win button. He shouldn't just win because it exists, he gets to not lose instantly and slightly even an otherwise extremely stacked field. He still gets boxed up by most things in a straight fight and usually does some creative stuff like killing nature to sever Arc's link to it, killing the hallway to get Roa, cutting Akiha's origami and busting through a wall, stuff like that. Dodge until Nanaya and then stab everything until you win describes like, actually one fight maybe two I think

To me you seem to be confusing great lore and great characters/powers as meaning they look cool in a fight going at it. My opinion is that they don't, the core writing of Tsukihime is not nearly as conducive to it compared to works like Fate/Stay Night (outside of Ciel).

Confrontations in Tsukihime are cool due to the lore and suspense of the situation, or stuff like Shiki slowly going more Nanaya and the enemy getting scared. Shiki constantly dodging attacks over and over until he gets the point of death to end his enemy however is generally not in an action sense. And this is how most Tsukihime action pretty much goes fundamentally. Roa's whole deal of reincarnation, which is again interesting from a lore standpoint, doesn't change the fact that there's not much going for him when it comes to fighting ability. No amount of "better writing" will change this.

It's why Remake utilizing Ciel a bit more was a good idea because she is one of the few characters suited for it. And as much as I think Vlov is a basic bitch he is also better for action sequences compared to Nero, since Nero being cool is due to his concept. Nero releasing his beasts to maul his opponents and innocents around him is what made him cool, but any fight scene with him will always be the same: Shiki constantly killing his familiars until he eventually kills Nero himself. Despite both of these characters having cool powers you can only go so far.

If you're only interested in flashy magic explosions and using/revealing multiple abilities mid-fight then yeah only Ciel and Vlov really deliver on that front but that's not why their fights are good fights, that's like saying you can't have a good boxing match because all anyone will do is punch and there aren't that many ways to punch someone.
The problem with Nero's fight is partially his powerset, but the real problem with that is that it only invites one possible solution because of how polar his powerset is. There aren't really any creative solutions or applications to dealing with him, you actually just do just MEoDP him until he goes away or lose. No creative solutions are allowed here. Arc Vlov is a good fight because it forces Shiki to make a creative solution to approach him using Arc's fairly limited support abilities and Ciel Vlov is a good fight (even though Shiki actually gets into melee range instantly and stays there) because it turns into a straight up sword fight and focuses more on the wordless understanding and mutual respect they now have as equals in combat. They aren't good because Vlov make big ice CG that I put as my desktop background, and Shiki trying not to get hit so he can stabbu doesn't make them any worse either.

I agree with you here. I thought the Tsuki fights were great. Roa vs Shiki 2 was cool because of Shiki releasing whatever the fuck he did and Roa v Shiki 1 was sick because Shiki starting to go Nanaya and overwhelm a vampire in high speed melee combat, in complete darkness, with his body auto dodging line strikes was pimp. It's more a show of skill than BIG EXPLOSIONS and cool magic attacks which are great too in remake but I always will prefer things like running along the walls and attacking from below your knees at your neck and shit somehow. I even think Arc vs Shiki is pretty hype because of him doing shit like dodging her attacks and cutting across her eyes even though he can't visually see her while he was getting used to his vampire body.

They would have a point if Fate discussion was actually crowding out discussion on the other works of the Nasuverse, but it doesn't. There is barely any discussion of Mahoyo and KnK. Some threads are more Tsukihime dominated, others are more Fate dominated. Depends on the day. Unless someone is reading for the first time or re-reading any given Nasu work, discussion is fairly surface level. I re-read FSN recently and shared my thoughts a few times here and I intend to do the same with Tsukihime when I pick it up a month or two perhaps. My memory of that one is murkier anyway.

Discussions on /a/ are fairly terrible. People on /tmg/ are slightly less retarded though only by a little. Most threads are the same shit recycled again and again - retarded waifufag wars. Once in a blue moon there's several more intelligent posters who try and debate the merits of the romances on a deeper level but most of the time it's the same old people falling for the "only HF is canon" bait. While it's a stretch to say /tmg/ is much better, it is by a little bit. I suppose /vg/ is better in that regard and the discussions more productive but it doesn't say a whole lot.
