They are both somewhat unrealistic if you squeeze hard, I don't think either can fully mimic bone and muscle. TPE has a lot more give and is generally more squishy. There are variables for oiling. If you dress up a TPE doll a lot then there is rubbing and clothes that will transfer oil. If you store a TPE doll laying down rather than hanging there is also more oil transfer/loss. Generally the more use the more you have to oil/powder. For me I only use my TPE doll 3-5 times a month and have oiled it maybe once every 2 months. Its the powder that will need to be done more often than anything, there has been times after 1 long use the TPE already started to get sticky and needed to be powdered again. I look forward to not having to maintain my Silicone doll as much.
