Is there an efficient way to learn grammar? I've been grinding vocabulary successfully for quite some time and I recognize most nouns/verbs/adjectives/adverbs in basic manga but outside of conjugation and past tense I'm getting filtered by the grammar. 私は: I have reached an intermediate level of Japanese after many embarrassingly long years (started in 2014) and still, I don't want to quit anytime soon. There are so many things I want to learn that require Japanese as the ticket in. Whether it's history, art, work, or another aspect of Japanese culture that keeps me going back to hit the books I don't feel I wasted any time. I've learned discipline, how to humble my ego (on a good day), and how to grind past the boredom of repetitive skill-building. More importantly, it allowed for relationships and friends I couldn't have gained without my ability to communicate in Japanese.
