>The Yara-ma-yha-who is a creature from Australian Aboriginal folklore. This creature resembles a little red man with a very big head and large mouth with no teeth. On the ends of its hands and feet are suckers. It lives in fig trees and does not hunt for food, but waits until an unsuspecting traveler rests under the tree, then catches the victim and drains their blood using the suckers on its hands and feet, making them weak. It later comes back and consumes the person, drinks some water, and then takes a nap. When the Yara-ma-yha-who awakens, it regurgitates the victim, leaving it "shorter" than before. The victim's skin also turns slightly more "red" than before.

>In Australian Aboriginal mythology (specifically: Murngin), Yurlungur is a copper snake who was awakened from a deep sleep by the odor of a woman's menstrual blood. The woman and her sisters, the Wawalag, were eaten by Yurlungur, who was told at a later snake meeting to regurgitate the women. In Australian Aborigine ceremonies, the vomiting symbolizes boys entering manhood.

Still has nothing on Maori, who is the first person to die in Maori mythology. He died by trying to climb into his giant ancestress' cunt, which was made out of jade. She woke up and closed her legs, he got smashed. Also obligatory list:

Shiri-me (Harmless spook that scares people by showing them giant eyeball inside its anus. )
Orang Minyak (Oil-covered slippery black demon rapist that is reportedly invisible to nonvirgins)
Hantu Tetek (A ghost with huge breasts that stem from her back, which she uses to suffocate people)
Popobawa (One-eyed, batlike anal rape ghost that only attacks males)
Sazae-oni (Spirit of a sea snail that disguises itself as an attractive woman and steals the genitelia of sailors she sleeps with)
Alan (Gargoyle-like haunt that reproduces by collecting shit, menstrual blood and miscarried infants and moulding a child out of it. )

Would you prefer French giant squid/snail that allergedly rapes or eats young girls, Japan's placenta homunculi or Kazakh stillborn fetus dragons? Or even, this one?

>Yilbegän ([jilbe`gæn]; Йилбегән; Yelbegän, Kazan Tatar language: Cilbegän/Җилбегән) is a multi-headed man-eating monster in the mythology of Turkic peoples of Siberia, as well as Siberian Tatars. In some myths Yilbegän is a winged dragon or serpent-like creature, while in others he is an ogre-like behemoth who rides a 99-horned ox. Some epics feature multiple Yilbegän with different numbers of heads who are the offspring of Altan Sibaldai, "the golden witch", a cohort of the lord of the underworld. Some epics also mention a Yilbegän king named Yelmogus.

If you want to call them aliens. I call them gremlins because they seem to be some sort of tech related myth monster like gremlins that would mess up airplanes. Also I like the idea that they're native to Earth, just so I can go "HA HA We're alone anyway."

Seriously though, walking on your roof, impregnating you with changelings, staring ominously at you just to freak you out, they have all the qualities of any other weird beliefs.

>Lou Carcolh, or the Carcolh, is a supposed mythical beast from French folklore. It was described as being both a serpent and mollusk at the same time, taking characteristics from both types of animals. Its massive and long body carried an enormous shell upon its back, much like a snail's shell, that was believed to live in underground caverns in southwest France. Its gaping mouth was surrounded by several long, hairy, and slime covered tentacles that could extend for miles. These appendages stretched out from the cave it inhabited for a long distance and laid upon the ground among its own viscous slime. They would ensnare and drag back to its abode anything within reach. It would then swallow the victim whole with its gigantic mouth.

>Actually, The Carcolh is a nickname given to the city of Hastingues, in the French department of Landes, due to its situation on a rounded-shape hill. The men of Hastingues used to say, as a pleasant warning to young and pretty girls "The carcolh will catch you!". And nothing else...

The carcolh will catch you.

"The Grays" and other Alien stories like them happen all over the world.

Gremlins, the ones that fucked up planes and shit during the war were just made up by workers and mechanics who fucked up building and repairing said planes.

Why not expanding on the Devas' story? Shou's backstory (of her being Vaisravana's sacred animal or something) hinted at her being one of the Devas, like Yuugi.

>> No.3855847

>>3855830
"Deva of the Mountain" does not mean Yuugi/Suika are Heavenly Kings. Zochoten, Jigokuten and Komokuten are sort of boring too.

>> No.3855857

>>3855830
There are more than four Devas.

There are four Devas of the Mountain, yes. But those are all Oni (probably).

But Deva is a term for:
Deva (Hinduism), Hindu deity or deities
Deva (Buddhism), a superhuman being in traditional Buddhist cosmology
Deva (New Age), spiritual forces or beings behind nature

It's pretty close to Youkai except without the bad connotations.
