In this case, it was easy to find again but what you said is very true. I had so many videos on Pornhub bookmarked to download later, when I got a new hard drive for more space, but didn't download immediately thinking there's no rush, and then they wiped everything. It's also not possible to find them again because the titles were descriptive and not the codes or even actress' names in most cases. Though I've forgotten what they were even like and never watched them except for short bits to see if I'd want to download them, the titles of the deleted videos I still have kept bookmarked intrigue me in some cases:

Related to this topic, this has happened with hundreds if not thousands of photosets I meant to download from various sites. Many of these were pics of JAV actresses but also gravure idols, or anything really. The scale of the waves of entropy sweeping the internet is terrifying. It accelerates every year, every month, every day, and lewd content is the most affected. If it was as simple as clicking one "download" button, it wouldn't be such a problem. But when you have to individually save every video, and every pic, it takes time. It's exhausting. You want to save all of it, but you don't have enough time. This is the dilemma.

Some encourage you to "embrace the impermanence", as if this is even possible when it's content that improves the quality of your life, even if merely by sexual satisfaction. Some even say "embrace the chaos, revel in entropy". This is a mentality that makes me sad. Surely they're happier than me, but at what cost? What is their impact on the future of the internet? Such people celebrate the deletion of content from the internet in cases where they happen to have it, and mock those who wish they shared it. They want that content to be lost with them, or benefit from artificial scarcity. It's depressing, with JAV even more than with many other types of content. When a JAV becomes lost, no one will fap to it again. For some people, at specific times in their life, finding the perfect JAV can be something that gives them the ultimate orgasms and this gives them a glimmer of hope for the future. Of course this can happen with other content as well, but with JAV it stems from a very primal level because sexuality is such a fundamental force and sexual satisfaction can make the difference between a lonely nerd and a deranged serial killer. JAV can save lives. This is a melodramatic argument but you have to admit sometimes it can be true.

Now I've run out of space from the new hard drive I bought when I previously ran out of space. At least two videos I bookmarked on different sites since running out of space have been deleted in the time I've waited for new SSD hard drives to become available (HDD is too unreliable in the long term). I've ordered one but I don't know if it'll ever arrive. I'm not a massive hoarder, in fact this current one is my only hard drive that's going to become dedicated essentially entirely to porn (not only JAV) if/when I get the new one. When the Pornhub purge happened, I regretted not being a massive hoarder though. At that time in my life I would've had enough money to buy up to four 2tb external SSD hard drives a month, which was unprecedented in my life and I'll never again have so much stable money.
