I was replaying Banquet recently, and Jessitrice was subtly touched upon. Battler said something like, 'what if Jessica developed another personality, a witch-like one?' (when talking about Nanjo's murder) before it was shot down.

So... only 5 master keys exist in E2 and since Rosa gathered them they never left her hand except one moment she lend one to Battler. "No duplicate key exists" was never stated though. But yes, Krauss having it seems like most natural.
Jessica's suicide is very suspicious here, too... to think I thought it was Rosa+Genji team until now... ;_;

And what I would love but Ryukushi would never do that is:

Battler reveals everything about the culprit. The mystery of E1 will be the very last. Beato says "Now you know everything, praise my name~" and everything goes black.

Suddenly, Battler is standing with a rifle in his hand before the witch in E1. George is standing by his side, Maria is hugging Jessica who is crying on the ground before the portrait.
So Battler just turns back, shoots Kanon in the row of the room dead, then says "George, let's get the fuck out of there before it all blows up".
So it happens. Jessica who is the mastemind takes Maria to the golden land.
We get Battler living happily with Ange and George becoming the new family head. The last epilogue is about Battler hanging Beato's portrait in his house.

Battler realizes he got back into the E1 final scene and since he revealed all mzsteries in the game already, of course he knows that Kanon is the E1 culprit. So, he looks for him, he knows Kanon is standing at some location he can shoot from. That is, either in the corridor behind them or somewhere in the corner of room. Somehow he manages to kill Kanon, and since Jessica is revealed to be Kanon's mastermind and one of two metaworld's Beatrices, she decides to fulfill her last duty and takes Maria in the Golden Land(that is, waits for the bomb to explode and kill both of them).
George and Battler are the only survivors. Battler is too irresponsible to be a head and George seems really guiltless so far.

The thing is, in such ending existence of Beato can never be proved, because from Battler's perspective, everything that matters is, that he somehow realized, that Kanon's death is feigned. Which wasn't really that hard to come up with, if you don't believe in 19th person already - just by the fact that everyone had wounds on their heads, while Kanon did not. But it convinces him to believe in Kinzo's Beatrice, as she really did save his life. The reason why I wrote it is, that I wanted to imagine some ending that would satisfy me. Now I am going to eat my anti-fantasy cookies which, while not cooked by Ronove, are equally delicious.

Bernkastel wins, everyone dies, she goes to the next When They Cry, repeat.

Also, we haven't decided yet, but we may wait until shortly after the release of EP6 to release our EP5 patch. There are several lines in the original which may have had some errors, and those fixes are usually made in the release of the next game. By holding off on our release by just about a week, we could fix all of those in our EP5 patch. Also, there are some lines in EP5 that are very ambiguous and can probably be translated in a much clearer way given the info from EP6. Unless you're planning on reading EP5 twice when the patch comes out, it'll probably be worth the wait But it could go either way at the moment.

Either way, we expect to be finished with the patch sometime around the end of the year.
