failing a card decreases its ease, which affects how often you see the card. by default, there is no way to increase the ease of a card. you need a plugin, like straight rewards, to increase the ease to prevent your deck from falling into ease hell

I genuinely believe that there are tons of shit monolingual people trying to learn Japanese that currently have no idea how bad they mispronounce words. It's also a problem with allegedly proficient (e.g. Cambridge C1 English certificiate) adults that simply can't hear how shit they sound and apparently aren't worried about it one bit, even if 300 people have to listen to them during lectures.

Assuming there's something to learn from such a course, you can still argue about the price being too high and call that 'scammy'. But then it just boils down to the question "Is it ok to farm your own fanboys/simps who are willing to overpay?". I don't think that many people find that morally reprehensible as they are generally also ok with making profit in their lifes. Even more if you have a refund policy.

Another important point in this pitch accent debate is also that most people aren't perfectionists and are satisfied with being mediocre. It makes sense why these kinds of people don't like to hear that they will sound shit even after years of studying. One example is the debate between George Trombley and Matt, where George was surprised to learn about pitch and how many mistakes he makes while being completely unaware of it.

Lastly, yeah, it's not smart to talk about your business plans the way Matt did, especially if you say it in a tone where people think you're looking down on them.
