Her role in the story is someone that the reader forgets about as she leaves the story in the Fate and UBW Route. Someone that is an afterthought a just a friend when there is more going on there. Even if Age of Gods magic isn't compatible with normal present day mage-craft, surely there are things she can teach them she learned from Hecate and Circe. Things about the history of magic, usage of mana and ley-lines etc.

My personal issues lies in the fact that the progression is all wonky. I don't feel like that scene under the rain was earned by the way the relationship between the two of them develops. On Day 7 Shirou forgets all about having lunch with Sakura to go talk with Rin and only realizes his mistake when Rin blows up at him for not treating her sister well. Similar thing happens on Day 9 as well. It's not that I think he's in love with Rin or likes her more than Sakura, it's that it still looks like Shirou is still in the process of falling for her rather than hopelessly in love with her.

Just compare the build-up to the big romantic moments in the other routes. I'll especially focus on the build-up to the confession in UBW since I think that situation can be more contrasted easily with the HF situation since both have the heroine of the route in peril from a recurring antagonist (but also because I like Rin more than Saber, sue me). In his search for Rin and all the way throughout the confrontation between her and Caster, his focus is almost entirely on Rin. He gets pissed off at Archer specifically because he is betraying RIN, feeling sadness at the thought of the "kind of face she'll make", him deciding that comforting her is more important than his own wound, saying he can't imagine living in a world where she isn't alive ("living as a corpse", as he puts it), the way he talks about the gratitude he feels toward Rin about her saving his life - it all just goes that extra mile to sell you on how Shirou cares for Rin. Same applies to Saber with the whole scene on the bridge and confrontation with Gilgamesh. But the lead-up to the confrontation with Shinji at the school in HF has Shirou forgoing taking care of Sakura, not spending half as much time thinking about Sakura as in the comparable scene in UBW and his big moment of sacrifice is to save... Rin. It makes me not take the Rain scene seriously.

Well the main plot is basically centered around a new guy named Elgo who is some mysterious experiment made by mages from all three branches. He has consumed several gods and has six phantom limbs. In the first book, Rin originally found him while she was busy being a pirate in Singapore and later El-melloi and Gray met up with her. Elgo has been a part of the gang since then. I don't hate his New Dawn though? I meant it does veer a bit into the "epic" side but overall it's a great rendition, one of the better tracks in the OST. Fukusawa's New Dawn still captures that feeling of finally achieving happiness after much pain and suffering. The epic aspect of the song synergizes naturally with the rather melancholic though ultimately soothing nature of the song, unlike in Into the Night or Deep Slumber where the original feeling and intent are drowned out in Zimmer-style overbearing tones. And I don't hate those tracks either - I just find it lamentable they are merely decent rather than memorable like in the VN.

Then years later Nasu writes Babylonia episode 0 and that servants was inside Mashu for literal years and Chaldea ran combat tests with her, said tests involved Romani. This episode is also the very first time the founder (and likely true villain) of Chaldea appears as an actual character, he doesn't have an ingame sprite to this day

yeah he's not someone that makes big twists besides something like the Kohaku reveal in the Hisui True End. I'm talking more about his character writing being masterful with character arcs being built up from the Fate route for Shirou and concluded in HF and with Rin's struggle against her realist vs human nature being built up from the other routes and concluded in HF. Not to mention Illya and Kirei's character writing being outstanding. He's not great at his lore, but I don't really care about that since Fate ended for me after HA.
