Don't use Rance in the last fight since it's Game Over if he dies. Use him for one of the easier ones.

I always do that. I just want to survive the blitz to get the Takeda family bonus this time since I actually have a half decent commander list. Also why didn't the assassinate Shingen event appear after I survived the blitz? I got the conversation with them saying Rance must be strong or whatever but I'm not seeing a single event in their territory. Also to kick me while I'm down I quickly went through 4 turns to see if an event appeared and I ended up losing 3 people to Shimazu instead. Fuck you AliceSoft.

Note, it's not a purple event. It's a beginning-of-turn event so it happens on its own. It unlocks a Search command (difficulty of 50, I think?).

Probably my own fault, I started going slow once I got onto the Kenshin route. He killed off Gon in my prison before Takuga had even claimed independence from Hojo, he also killed off Baba the turn after I got Kenshin to level 65.

I had a lot of turns where I could not find any points... at all. I defeated baba, that old cooking man, musket girl and cough cough girl.
Gathered the remaining 20 points by winning and losing (event battles) with kenshin. That took forever and Xavier only had like 42 points at that point...

Fear I may have to restart this now. Furthest back save I have is 5 turns ago where Xavier is at 90 and Kenshin at 96, however every turn without fail he kills a samurai. And for whatever reason, Kenshin doesn't get a point in every battle she takes part in (Is it only in battles against named officers?)
Also, only target left is Botenmaru, currently zerg rushing them to try and get him before Xavier wins.

Try having Kenshin lose fights to gain more points. I was in a similar boat to you although not as bad point wise, I needed 20 more points but there was no one left around to defeat and Hojo + Takeda were blitzing my entire eastern lines taking half of Japan. After plowing west towards Mouri and Gon hoping I could get a point from them that one Shimazu brother showed up at my doorstep in a random event and I got all the points I needed.

The demon army still has 4 territories and I'm not even in war with Dokuganryuu family. How the hell I should proceed? I simply cannot muster enough offensive power to conquer the last demon army occupied castle in Cairo, and given that, I certainly don't feel like going to war with the Youkai country. So, any advice, /jp/?

You dont need to for Orochi, you get all AP etc back when you finish the dungeon.
For the Hades boss, do it on a non point run. simply enter the dungeon 17 times and conquer exactly 1 floor.

on second thought, before someone translates the effects written on the cards it would still be pretty unplayable.

Just finished Kenshin route, took my time and finished all the dungeons and characters I could get. However there is that one guy with almost 8000 HP at the bottom floor of that one dungeon. How the hell are you supposed to beat him? My action points will be all used up before I even get close to beating him. Tough I suppose I could invest a shitload of turns to get Rance to level 99...

Also what exactly is the difference between the difficulties. It appears to me that if you play with one star the enemies attack you twice per turn instead of just once wich already makes it pretty damn hard to be at war with more than one country.

I had to start over after I beat Akai-Asakura, Yukihime fled to Takeda and head them start war on me while I was fighitng Uesugi. This happened to coincide with the Tenshi sect declaring war at me and Takeda were obviously backed up by the Tokugawa. And bang, war with 4 countries. Fuck.

and the difficulties depend only on the troop size. Meaning the higher the difficulty, the larger your enemies' troops are.

I did that dungeon by slowly walking my way down the levels. It took a while.

You can fight lots of countries well enough using battle permits. You just have to be careful to pick your battles - only defend the last terrain in each province, which is usually a +20% one. Advance slowly and focus on one enemy at a time.

Orochi is actually easier, he only wipes out your team once with a strong attack, the main problem is the 5 Orochi-ko (3 of them in the backrow) so you need strong backrow attackers too like sanada, uruza, baba or they will keep attacking your or healing themselves/orochi.

I'm playing the true history route again as a second game. I captured Nanjou Ran and waited until the fifth gourd broke so I don't enter her route while I try getting Houjo Soun. As it turns out, I don't get him although I did the Oil Dungeon at the right time.
The only bonus I have is the Demon Army family bonus - did anyone have the same problem and/or knows how to fix it? Already reloaded, hastened events, tried again etc.

Ranmaru with an extra action point and brute photo/rance's love can be pretty useful. Get her full power warrior attack 2 and max attack, she'll be a beast.

I honestly did. She was one of the best units in my first playthrough, even more so than Suzume. Everyone saying to fire the ones you start with aside from foot soldiers later I was confused as to why.

Then the next playthrough I used her a lot less.. and the next I didn't use her but refused to fire her. Then the next I actually did it and fired her, before my commander list was full and before I needed any national power I fired her. She just couldn't compare to even Rance anymore even though she starts with double the amount of troops.

Feels bad, man.

On my first playthrough, I used Ranmaru a lot less right around when I got Kenshin. I kept Ranmaru around as a backup but even then I rarely used her. I always thought she was pretty hot though, in an onee-san kind of way.

You need to defend the 4 attacks from a single blitz. Once this is done you'll get a start of turn event which has low priority so you may have to wait a few turns. Then you just simply do the covert action in their territory and proceed to laugh at Rance being awesome. Then you just need to wait 300 turns for you to finally capture all of the commanders.
