I think it is a beautiful way to die myself. I believe snow to be one of our world's most graceful gifts, covering the surroundings in this pure, white spectacle to the eyes. Snowy environments are perhaps the closest to man's various depictions of utopia, most notably heaven. To let such a place be the one to claim your life paints the picture of a good individual, that sought the calm & peace he may be witnessing in his final breath.
With that in mind, that's also how I choose to view Letty, in a way - the Yuki Onna wishes & appreciates the tranquility of the season she is most prominent at, but admist this comfort lies ample warmth & love, as the world deems it to be the time for festivities, such as Christmas.
