about a week since i have put meaning and word on front of cards. i test just for reading.

i came to this conclusion because anything else seems redundant. even with sentences cards - all the sentences that came before and after a new word - that let ripen the proper memory are missing. the reading on the other hand is the single thing you can and should brute force memorize.

if you test just for reading you are ALOT faster done and can get back to true immersion faster.

another thing i noticed is that, while there are certainly people on the app who try hard to learn a language, there's a huge number of young japanese girls who claim they want to learn korean, but all they really do is look for korean guys to talk to, even though they can't even introduce themselves in korean, and write blogposts about their past experiences with guys. it's like i'm on fucking instagram or something
