This is a discussion that started on /toy/ but I wanted to find some answers on here. Basically, I'm curious why plushies don't seem to be too discussed on there. Someone said one reason was that plushies are more of a girl thing. But I know that anime plushies are enjoyed by lots of guys so I figured I'd come here and ask for details.

My main questions are these: Do you collect anime plushies and if so, do you have a lot? What general size do you go for? Do you go for general aesthetic or focus on specific characters/series? How important is character accuracy to you? Are they mainly for display or for hugging?

You can answer any or none of these, I'm just genuinely curious.

most who buy them are tertiaries that dont even know what touhou is

So is every anime plush a fumo? There are many different varieties of anime plush in different styles. Some are uniform over multiple series like nesoberis but there are some with completely different looks
