i don't have a lot of miku merch, i have the goodsmile hoodie, some acrylic keychains and that's it. i like collecting CD and producers merch more and things related to them, the あの夏が飽和する novel is one of my prized possession.

Now that I check, NND reports an incredibly sharp increase in Miku songs in the last two years. Before 2020 the number of Miku songs per year would usually range from 5000 to 8000, but in 2020 she had 11770 songs and now an insane 17745 in 2021. Even if we account for older songs being deleted, this is still excessive. Project Sekai definitely revitalised Vocaloid, but by this much?

i've collected plenty of CDs and figs that caught my attention. i have all of camellia's vocaloid works which sparked the interest. you can buy used vocaloid CDs from amazon really cheap, but it's all normie vocaloid. you can find doujin vocaloid on suruga-ya. the majority of CDs i have are used but in perfect condition. supercell is mint, as well as shigo-nikki and pottsun's CD. i got it from his bandcamp. when it comes to physical music owning it it's simply for the passion for owning the object. by the time the CDs have made it to my door i've heard the album already, but i bought it because i loved it.

i've been trying to acquire glass cabinets so i can light them and display my figs but they've been unavailable for quite some time. the lower shelves contain things i've bought and haven't given much attention yet. some things are mint, such as the koe no katachi making of book & its blu-ray and several ikamusume CDs i recently acquired. i don't know if i'll ever open popuko or pipimi. they came with the amiami exclusive bat as well which is hidden in there somewhere. autumn miku is in its box because it broke and i don't buy taito figs anymore. the frame arms miku proved to be very difficult and stressful to assemble so it rests unfinished. i hope figure rise labo won't be so painful.

i think if you start collecting, start slow. it's a slippery slope. i freak out over rare music and miku figma with nice legs. i tend to not even open things i buy to preserve their value, but always thinking "but i'm not going to ever sell them? yet opening them feels like a waste.." back and forth which is a peculiar collectors' mindset. the rule of thumb is 'if you see it and you like it, buy it, you'll never get the chance to buy it again.' however this way of thinking can get expensive, so secure your expenses first. i feel like it's worth it. every time i see my precious items and miku's visage i feel joy.

some of those smaller ones are taito prize figures meaning they're manufactured cheap, sold cheap. if you look at amazon they're generally not very cheap on there. even hobby stores they go for slightly over their MSRP (around $20) i think they may have adjusted MSRP over the years thanks to demand. just look out for people overcharging for them. since they are cheap, the details are decent but nothing extraordinary. i think they get around it by never designing any models with fine details in the first place. plus, don't buy the ones posed in positions you think might break, because they _will_ break, and that will make you sad.

if you want the higher quality ones the 1/7-1/8th scales i have like mikuzukin and v4x above the shelf they're actually not terribly as expensive as you'd think. $1-200 range. you can still buy both of those. mega 39s miku, top shelf middle was about $60. shop around before you buy something and be wary of premium hobby shops like otakumode since their prices are egregious backed by their stupid premium plan. most people usually use amiami but if you go on there now you'll notice the majority of goods are sold out. it's because you're up against a global market and most people pre-order a year ahead of time when the product is first announced. it's basically the only way to use it since stuff they do have in stock ends up being things that are generally not well-desired.

i think you already know the quality of what you're getting if you choose to buy from aliexpress. there are taito figma on there, but they're more likely than not to be fake. also ali is kind of a dent & scratch business so even if it's a genuine product the box might not be in the best shape.

best advice is to stick to a legit retailer when you buy figs, unless you absolutely don't care about the quality of what you receive.

it's been a problem since bandori on JP. most of the time people would choose おまかせ for their song selection and if you pick a song that's not a part of the meta (like hitorinbo envy) a disconnect is almost guaranteed. it's really annoying since cheerful live requires ten person to get going, and one disconnect is enough to disband the whole party.

Since you're using Miku V2, this won't work because you're trying to input English vocaloid phonemes. English and Japanese vocaloids have different dictionaries. Check the built-in dictionary again for a filter that allows you to only view the allowed phonemes for a Japanese vocaloid so you don't get mixed up with all the English-only ones.

definitely, 空は美しく燃えて is one of my favorite albums from him for that reason, his instrumental game is legit. but even though his singing is decent now (it was quite awful back in the early days) and he'll definitely be a good instrumental only musician, there's something about his Miku that gives his songs a dreamy feeling. i think he understands what makes Miku really special as a singer and he didn't tune his Miku to what Miku simply isn't. his miku is definitely tuned in a stylized way which again, gives his songs the otherworldly dreamy feelings that couldn't be replicated with voice of a human.

if it makes any difference YTM has gotten a lot better with their AAC encoding, allowing creators to upload audio tracks that are essentially lossless. it's really hard to tell if this came from a stream rip but for what it's worth MP3 usually trims the upper ranges where in the VK rip it's in tact. there is a bit of sussy artifacting over 'tensho' but that's also befitting of kikuo's style so i can't for certain make the claim that this is a stream rip. the download is quite loud however, ReplayGain scan gave it -11.57 dB, which is a small indicator it was recorded from stereo mix with the gain up way too loud, explaining the peak clipping, but there's isn't any unnatural distortion, and the stream source isn't even this loud, so these files are more than likely a CD source without any auto replaygain values calculated. i think you should make your own call here buddy.
