Really though, I think the easiest way to obtain a salamander wife is to hire one as a body guard for an extended period of time. Defeating one in battle will be difficult, and the constant effort to train to win her over is just a lot of hassle and pretending to be something you aren't, at least for me anyways.

Hire her on the pretext of traveling through dangerous lands. The two of you live, sleep, and eat together for a couple months. According to the setting, simply living with a monster girl for long enough, maybe a month or so, will cause her monster instinct to recognize you as husband, even if she had no prior interest in you at all.
