Perfume. How much longer will they remain active? Who is your favorite member? What is your favorite album. What does the future hold for them? What's your opinion on them?

>How much longer will they remain active?
As long as all three of them have an interest in collaborating, I'm certain that Nakata Yasutaka will be willing to provide compositions for them. So they could put out an album tomorrow, 5 years from now, never again, etc.

>Who is your favorite member?
Honestly Nakata Yasutaka . It's not like I dislike any of the girls, but unlike with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu or Koshijima Toshiko of Capsule, the idols of Perfume are just less stand-out as individuals.

>What is your favorite album.
"Game" is my favorite album from them as a whole, but "JPN" is a close second followed by "Level3" .
They are all great synth-pop, but Game's harsher electronic tone and it's consistent quality track-wise win it over.

>What does the future hold for them?
I don't expect another boom like they had after the releases of Game and JPN. Not only because Nakata Yasutaka's "sound" is increasingly dated (not bad, just not hype), but because a lot of Perfume fans probably put greater emphasis on the idol aspect than I do, and idols unfortunately tend to have a shorter shelf-life than artists that lean more just on their music. Though it must be said Perfume is already pretty exceptional in its long run with the same members.

>What's your opinion on them?
From the perspective of someone who got into them for the composition more than the singers, I would tie their creative output with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who overall has had less works made, but clearly makes a distinct style that fits her persona like a glove and was just as - if not more - impactful. Capsule is probably in a similar ballpark of influence as far as sound goes, and without it either Perfume or Kyary would not have come to fruition, but it is less popular otherwise. All three are much more impactful than his other collaborations, of course (Mito Natsume, Ami Suzuki, Meg, fucking Kizuna Ai, etc.), and honestly I think they jive less well with Nakata as well.

So do you actually have an opinion on Perfume, or is merely seeing ~2 paragraphs of text worth calling out?
No one's making anyone read it.
