I've played 2 games, 1 as a warlord in 12th century Europe and 1 in Gensokyo as an officer (Miko->Reimu->Remillia Poaching Event->Win).
In the first I got fucked by every country because everyone kept spreading rumors about me. I only held 2 cities for maybe 30 turns until I made an alliance with two other countries and started auto-donating to everyone. Good relations keep the heat off of you. Don't expect any significant gains like troops, economy or officers. You want to be on good terms so you can start Ceasefires and Alliances at your leisure.
Ceasefire lets you ignore a country you're bordering while you focus on another. Alliances allow you to deploy straight from your ally's cities, meaning you could attack a city you have no straight access to, an vice-versa. Order Surrender only exists so that you don't have to waste a turn and unit crushing a 1-city country and can just collect all of their officers if you want. Otherwise, donating anything other than sex or money is a waste of resources while Commands only really work when the country is on the brink of destruction or you've Nightcrawled the ruler into Submission. Even then the resources gained are pitiful, better than nothing I guess. You could train and poach officers but that's slow and and I've forgotten every time. I think I've only used Prisoner Exchange/Release prisoner with Specials, your officers with good stats won't be captured 9/10 times.
TL;DR - Diplomacy fucks you over if you ignore it, set Auto to 10-50 all and Demand Surrender from 1-city 2hus. Ceasefire and Alliance are useful but not necessary and won't work on rapists.

Depends on the trait. If it's something like Sadist that has no other states just setting it to 1 will give everyone the trait. Things like M Sensitivity or Virtue that have two opposite variations use 1 for positive and -1 for negative.

If you put everything on 9999 they will push you down, touch you, flood the entire underworld and have you flip over from exhaustion. Even with no sadism the other stats cause them to go from 100% frustration to zero in one turn, kinda defeats the point, so dial it back a little.
Just toggle lust mode, it only disables the 'secluded place' command, as far as I can tell. Favorability and intimacy are good, propably lust at some smaller level.
Mokou, Eiki and some others with sticks up their asses could use some more tweaking, you might look into removing the one tag that causes her to hate you for penetrating without love or the virginity loss.

As for books, I think that's a bit out of scope, I don't want her to do stuff that's already in the game pretty much, so instead she'll offer tutoring lessons at the end of each day. Marisa can teach you skills she knows, and her skills will slightly improve too. Should be useful to get your skills up early game at least. Not to mention, other requests will improve her skills as well.
Fireworks I didn't think of at all, this might be a bit of a handful but it's possible. My idea is that you can give her the signal during day, and a special action appears in certain open locations, and I guess you either can't or can do it in your home location as well.
"Doing your requests for you" kind of stuff doesn't appeal to me, so for danmaku I once again had an idea to give her the signal, after which she'll swoop in and back you up once, significantly increasing the power of your next move, be it attack, defense or a bomb.
Also, there's always going to be a slight chance of failure for every request that depends on many things, because that's Marisa for you. She won't charge you if she messes up though.
