Finally he met some guy in Salt Lake City who liked his chicken enough to open a restaurant to sell it, rather than call it Salt Lake City chicken they called it Kentucky Fried Chicken the state where Sanders was from. It took off and although Sanders never owned the company he helped create he was it's spokesmen till the day he died having created one of the most successful business chains in the world and being one of the most recognizable men ever. In the 1970s it was more successful than McDonalds.
