There are a few different opinions on 11eyes. Personally, I found it a great action VN. The fight scenes are intense and a really good read. On the other hand, I didn't particularly like the plot.

I don't believe the number of episodes can be blamed completely. The fight scene in episode 3 was pitiful, and lengthening it alone would not have helped. The atmosphere was completely different and hell, the events were almost completely different. It's just shitty.

Now people just need to vote it in the final poll and not listen to people going herp low EGS score derp. If people play a game for the wrong reasons of course it's going to have a low score and a lot of people dropping it.

If you look at the individual ratings and ignore those who obviously played it expecting something different, it suddently becomes a 80+ game. Yes, that's still not 96 or even 90, but to not play it because of low score is stupid.

And well, I still find it ironic that people would vote for whatever is popular according to a Japanese eroge site and when it doesn't win (or even when something with "too low" EGS score gets into the final) claim that the poll is rigged. The black squares represent having no scenes, the dark red ones represent scenes already viewed, the bright red ones represent scenes that have yet to be viewed, and the blue squares represent scenes that have yet to be unlocked. The kanji at the top are the names of the various characters through whom you see the scenes.

Brief Synopsis Courtesy of Yuyucow -Muvluv Extra is your usual high school story; lucky guy has lots of girls who want his penis and nothing really happens. This is supposed to be as good as a harem story can't be, which is not much sadly. But after you clear the 2 main routes in Extra, you can start playing Muvluv Unlimited. There, the main character suddenly wakes up in an alternative universe, where humanity is fighting ugly aliens with cool mechas and almost everyone has been killed. He meets his acquaintances, but they all are pretty different according to this new world. Unlimited is basically the story of his training and how he stops being useless, so even though it's better than Extra it still isn't that good. But then there's Muvluv Alternative, the final part of the trilogy. The protagonist wakes up again in a new world, just to see he's back at the starting point of Unlimited (but with his old memories and abilities), so this time fixes everything he fucked up. I can't tell you more because I haven't actually played the game, I hope it's enough for you to get interested in the game.

... I'm kind of glad I didn't vote for MuvLuv, even though it does sound intriguing. I really think a project like that is best tackled by a group formed just for that purpose and dedicated to that game in particular.

And anyway, if MuvLuv really IS as good as people say, a group should form for that purpose eventually anyway. I have my doubts about Swan Song or Eden or Kara no Shoujo or France Shoujo having groups coagulating around them anytime soon, so Amaratasu is best used to work on those lesser known titles, since we've been given the choice.

Ruitomo is similar to Saihate no Ima, in the concept of group of friends banding together in order to solve each other problems', and those conflicts are pretty fucked up (if you ignore the curse thing, you're dead). The comedy comes mainly from interaction instead of gags (like in Cross Channel), though some are Japanese wordplay and puns so they'll be hard to translate effectively.

Alternative is getting close to being four years old. I wouldn't count on it. I know we've been spoiled with translations lately but I would never count on any eroge being translated, no matter how good it is.

Both old and new characters are highlighted well, but if you only watch the subbed anime show (what baka gaijin does) you'll miss alot of contents since the show skewed toward introducing those new characters and their trainings, development etc.

I played France Shoujo a bit when it was released and honestly I really doubt something like this could be popular here and I understand why it wasn't that popular in Japan.

They have. It's an eroge, though, so it's bound to be related to "love".

I mean, the description of the world sounds great, but keep in mind a lot of these VNs sound incredible when you describe them but a lot have been regarded as ultimately shallow. And I have yet to hear about some sort of god tier review of the game.

I mean, no matter what wins, I'm sure we'll have something awesome to read. But seriously? This is like the blind leading the blind, and for that reason it was retarded to decide this with a poll.

There's no bad part in Muv-Luv, Ixrec is exaggerating a whole lot.
I had a blast with Extra, it's really quite funny, well paced and constantly entertaining.
It may be cliché but it's good cliché.
And Unlimited is pretty good, despict the alternative world really well and manage to create a real "menace" despite the fact that you never see the BETA, it's a good war drama with a great ending.
Of course Alt blows them out of the water, but they are quite good as a stand-alone no matter what.
