saying "tay" is correct way to say てゐ is just plain wrong. at best you could say it's an approximation

I genuinely like her more than I do a good lot of canon characters. She can easily be cute, sexy or funny and have varied dynamics with the rest of the cast.
I sort of want ZUN to make her canon already but I'm also afraid he could retroactively ruin 20 years worth of fanwork by making her something completely different from what fans have portrayed her, design and role-wise, maybe he knows this is it's why he hasn't done it.

Honestly Koakuma is super popular as she is, especially for "nameless" character.
I kinda agree that her "lore" apperance could do more harm than good (see momiji)
