Sanae fits the invoker class, the one which involves distributing divine lasers and area attacks throughout the opposition and is light armor-friendly, far better. The first iteration of that thread entailed a Lily White dump due to her outfit resembling that of a white mage to a small extent, and I did not wish to repeat the dump as I was out of images of the spring herald. Seeing how I had "Sanae White Mage.jpg" in my folder, I had designated her as the image subject instead.

The cast of Touhou has no pacifists in its ranks, so I had to work with something else.

4e has a variety of tools available for it for ease of use, such as the Compendium, the Monster Builder, and the Character Builder, all of which key off a regularly-updated central database containing all of the mechanical options (classes, powers, feats, items, etc.) and other aspects (monsters, traps, etc.) of the game. While the Character Builder is what most players use to create their characters, I prefer to perform the task manually such that I can deliver builds in a more comprehensive format, especially when it comes to power descriptions.

Humans have FAITH HAX. Consecrated amulets, divine powers, holy weapons, etc. Youkai are no match against them.
But ordinary humans wouldn't have them, so the days back then were full of bloody tales of youkai preying on innocents, and then being hunted down. Gensokyo was formed when both parties got tired of the hunt.
And then the spellcard rules were invented so that the youkai could still exercise their powers, and to protect the other ordinary humans living in Gensokyo by then.

The type of the weapon doesn't matter (though modern weapons would definitely have the benefit of superior range) as much as their 'spiritual power'.

Somewhat. Those names do carry some legend with them, but the older the better, and more well-known the better, so Colt and Smith & Wesson would be better vs youkai because they're more "legendary." Certain organizations would also bestow extra power vs youkai, especially if the weapon is considered part of the standard equipment. A cowboy would be effective, and so would any human with a Colt. Give the cowboy the Colt, and their combined "legend power" makes both far more effective than either would be alone. Just the mere sound of a cavalry bugle's charge command could be deadlier to youkai than the cavalry itself because of the "FUCK YEAH!" associated with the noise.

I think I need to go make a request in the drawfag thread for cavalry charging a youkai line, mixed in with bikers carrying Crusaders in dual sidecars, supported by cannon fire from old wooden British frigates with quotes from Greek philosophy inscribed across their sails.
