alcohol enthusiast nips import german and russian brands. domestic beer is what salarymen keep in the fridge, not what they order at bars.

Pretty sure you'll have to go to Japan and get a domestic beer if you want something good. The bigger brand imports are all meh.

I think you meant ビール.

Asahi Super Dry isn't bad, but I liked Kirin better.

>> No.3736261

It's ビール.
There are no spaces in Japanese.
Why would you "do" a beer?

>> No.3736264

する has many more meanings than just "to do" you know

Draft Sapporo is awesome.
Until the food it brought. Then it's not as delicious. Which reminds me, SanSuiTei in Little Tokyo has the draft AND a 2x1 on it.
Asahi is what I drink with food. It's delicious.
Yebisu, to me, taste like Asahi. Except it fills me up quick.

I've been meaning to try more except I haven't had the chance to go outside.
Not like I want to anyway

Those that say there are no good Japanese beers are out of their freaking mind. If you can find some, try it. I am particularly fond of the Red Rice and the XH. It's pretty easy to find where I live. I'm in one of those very beer-centric cities that has multiple places with 60+ beers on-tap plus hundreds of bottles to choose from.

Although, to be fair, what's sitting on top of my fridge is a good example of the beer I usually purchase.
