For me, HF felt like a combined farside for FSN since it diverged so much from Fate and UBW that its insane hence why it didnt felt that slow for me. In fact it had the same pace and sequence as farside tsuki for me from shirou's headache and getting bedridden. Too lazy to check if it's actually said out loud in the remake or grab text if it is, but Ciel likes how Shiki treats her a normal girl in spite of knowing everything about her, since no one else really does that, ie. Noel seeing her as a non-human who is only good for killing vampires and not a real "person" that actually has emotions. She's pretty self conscious about how much of a monster weirdo anomaly she is and thinks that'll push him away once he gets through all the lies and whatever, but it never does. Makes sense and works pretty well thematically, goes along with Ciel somewhat regaining her humanity through spending time with Shiki, since he's pretty much the only person truly treating her as human.
If old shit is still in play, from Akiha route you could also get that she actually just likes that Shiki is a good kid that feels bad about all the bullshit he gets put through

It's unbreakable and he represents a resistance against the tragedy that is Roa that is miraculous and something of a shining light in the dark. She's been trapped in the abyss since she was a child and was overwhelmed by Roa. Seeing him not only continue to fight against impossible odds but actually maintain his virtuous nature when he could easily have turned on her like anyone else would. There is a degree of unique solidarity that only they could understand. He's kind of proof positive for her own redemption being possible and it helps give her the strength to live and move forward despite the weight of her past rather than just drowning in a swamp and looking for a way to die. He also represents the ideal normal life that was stolen from her. During her undercover ops, the real Elesia was able to experience life and come to enjoy the small and important things and the center of that was her relationship with Shiki. She was just a normal girl, the real Ciel. Also Shiki is just attractive and chad desu, they get along very well and he just wouldn't leave her alone. He kind of forced his way into her sphere, despite the horror and danger, even after her ties to the supernatural became clear.

Not even Near Side is complete though from a narrative perspective. They managed to portray an excellent juxtaposition of 'old Tsukihime' and new Tsukihime in Blue Glass Moon.

I’m glad to have moved past that point in my life and not autistically care about the all the Fate lore since FGO made it stupid. I still love the cast of Fuyuki and since their story ended in FHA I don’t have to care about Fate anymore. I can’t care about stupid shit like the Servantverse and whatever other garbage there is. One of the things I liked about Tsukihime is how nice of a conclusion for the VN Kohaku's route was, subverting many previous routes' elements.
I liked how after having to fight immortal vampires and your evil schizo brother, the final boss of the VN is actually your cute and retarded imouto. I think Nasu really shines with that kind of ending, kinda like the final fight with Kirei at the end of HF.
I wonder if Nasu will be able to end the second part of the remake on the same note considering he's adding one whole new route.
Personally, I remain full of hope.
