Compared to the Chinese, Vietnamese and Filipino though, they hardly exist. Out of the probably half-million Asians in Houston, there's a small group of Japanese on the west side of town. There's enough of them to make one barely-functional Saturday school when they all band together.
Austin has a handful more because of UT, but still vastly outnumbered by other Asians.
