This here is probably made the scoring weird af. Both Mio and Miko probably thought that the Elytra course will be pretty challenging, hence the lopsided points. Heck they even prepared a bunch of colors below the gold and sea lantern blocks, so they definitely thought there will be people who sucks at using it and scored poorly. In actuality though everyone landed on sea lantern, while Pekora landed on the gold block, making the difference a measly 5 points. You can even tinker with the scoring like making gold block 10 points sea lanterns 5 points while all others 0 and it still wont change shit.
Also for all the problem and delays the PvP caused it actually ended up only giving 10 points a round, people probably expected it to matter a bit more. Although kind of understandable though since the event is an actual shitshow and they probably just want people to see that it matters little and forget about it faster.

It's been 432 days since Mano Aloe "graduated".

Since the day she graduated, Aloe had suffered and had to overcome a lot of difficult situations. Yeah, the sports festival last year probably felt more polished because there was actually an enough timeframe where people are building, practicing, and testing the events (except for the server lag, that one was ugly). The one this year got announced out of the blue, and it was a pretty short timeframe between the announcement and the actual festival. Agree with this sentiment. They should make clear rules based on the system, not force people to act based on some 'honor' points. Even worse than the daruma was actually the snowball throwing. Some people noticed it, but in Minecraft you can throw stacks of item with Ctrl+Q instead of throwing it one by one like a machine gun. Even worse in that event was that to get on the slime block from the pressure plate you actually needed to dash, which is triggered by pressing the Ctrl key. So one could unintentionally throw a stack of 10 snowballs in a sitting and there really is nothing you can do to prevent it.
