the main reason for this, like in the case of bccwj, is how words are counted. e.g. in bccwj 経済的 is 1 word and 経済 is a different word, whereas vn and narou don't see 経済的 as its own word at all, it just sees 経済 and 的. while I agree that it's different, is there a better way without having a writing card for every vocab you know? for example, in the kanken deck example, there's the word 新鮮. I don't know the other words in the deck, but let's say 新聞 isn't in it and it's the word I want to write. I'd have to remember 新 from the しんせん as well as having to remember 聞 from whatever word the deck uses. In my opinion this is the same as remembering 大 from だい学 and then 学 from either 大がく or maybe a different word like がく生. Or am I missing some difference?
