Then, to apply the idea, one might want to thicken the mask further to be able to do the strong distorted shape of an anime face. The eye would be the only issue to thinker around.

A thicker silicone layer would allow further modifications in the face. Maybe the mouth can be completely synced (albeit also shaped smaller), while the nose is completely kig shaped. The eyes would be usually below human eyes, as far as I noticed from many pictures. So either keep the eyes completely out (only see through slit) or incorporate them in the kig eyes somehow.
