There was a thread a couple days ago on why people liked touhou so much. I think i may have realized another reason i like it so much.

The fan art and studio art seam to be, for the most part, higher quality and persistent in character designs. Even the chibi is cuter then other chibi. Anyone else notice this?

are you talking about the games? I know i saw a big difference in quality when saw the fan art and doujins. I felt kinda cheated when i saw the games. Thankfully the official printed works made up for them.

Well when i started to get in to touhou no one ever mentioned Zun level quality. Even after i had been in to it. I learned fast tho. I tryed a game about 2 days after i found out what all those pictures on /a/ where about. I thought it was some kinda VN that i never tryed or a manga. I had no idea how vast the touhou world was.

I have never got very far in any of the bullet games. I suck horribly at them. Cant get past the first boss on the easiest ones.
