I fear for bandori because imo the passion isnt there anymore, be it from band members or staff or even the songs, it feels like it's on cruise control to keep the cashflow of their most profitable franchise open.
Also if I were a band member, the only natural next step in my career at this point would be us writing our own songs and arrangements and getting authoral credits and royalties but I doubt bushi would let them, which sucks.

"A few" is an understatement, by the point of this year's reruns there were only 2 cast members playing the same characters from the original runs of Inori and Himitsu, and even Nakamura was absent for the shows in 2017 or so when Ishii played Sachie.

Given Pius' track record of recasting characters in the series it's not surprising that people expect it to happen than not, especially since there often isn't any visible rhyme or reason or even a visible attempt to inform the last portrayer that her character will be played by somebody else.
