If they add one UFO character it'll be Ichirin or they're crazy. If they add two, I'd be happy with anyone but Byakuren. I like her but her fighting style seems too generic to add over someone else.

IaMP is a superior fighting game.
If you want to play Touhou: The fighting game, SWR is a better choice.
If you want to play a fighting game that just so happens to have touhou characters, IaMP is a million times better.
So really, different target audience I guess.

SWR has faster dashes and airdashes, and some bullets fly faster.
That's it. EVERYTHING else is quicker in iamp.
I played SWR first, then eventually tried out IaMP. Yeah, it felt slow and awkward at first. Then I actually got used to it, learned how to play decently, and I fucking love it. It's a lot sharper and quicker than I thought.

Then I went back to SWR for lulz. Hooooly shiiiiit this fucking thing is absurdly sluggish and floaty.

They were too powerful for the tone of the story. It was meant to be light and kind of a joke, hence why Cirno and Meling were in it, and why Sanae wrote it off as a giant robot because she's a dreamer.

Kaguya and Mokou on the other hand are genuinely powerful, so it wouldn't have been as funny.
